The Party Day

Today I woke up early realising that today will be a great fun. After all it was Ethan's birthday. The sun perfectly shone over the town with a beautiful​ weather. I suddenly remembered that I had to go to school. 

God why did you create school. I thought to myself.

For your welfare idiot else you would be left on roads without money. My inner voice said.

Oh so you back huh?

Yeah yeah. Now get up and go to school. It told me.

I stepped out of the conversation with my inner voice and got up, brushed my teeth, bathed and got ready. 

  I went downstairs looking for what should I eat in breakfast. I opened the refrigerator door and realised that it was almost empty. So I was reduced to have a small bowl of cereals,a very small bowl I must add. After having breakfast I packed my back with all required stuff and went to my closet to find a pair of good sneakers.

 Notice what good means.

 So it was hard to find a pair of good sneakers. Finally I found them after ten minutes of searching. I picked up the car keys and drove to Brave Knights High school. The parking area completely occupied.

  Hell.

I had to park outside the school gate. I rushed tomine and Becca's fixed meeting point. She wasn't there. I went to the parking lot to see if her car was there. No! It wasn't. Where the hell was she? She never took a leave without telling me the reason behind it. So I called her on her cell to check if she was okay. Her mom picked up.

"Hello Mrs. Weller. Is Becca up there?" I spoke.

"Sweetheart she's still asleep." She replied.

Strange. Becca was a early riser. I never thought that she would sleep this late. She always scolded me for being a late riser. I once told her that she too would sleep this late like me and she said that it will be the day when pizza will start flying and the impossible would happen. I don't see a flying pizza or Dumbledore alive. So what?

"You didn't woke her up?" I asked out of curiosity.

"No dear. After a month I guess I have seen her sleeping like this. Carefree. In peace."

Well yes it was true. Maybe she was just tired.

"So she's on a leave today I guess."

"Yes dear!"

"Will she be coming to the party this evening?" I asked.

"Sure."

"Ok Mrs.Weller my class is about to start. Talk to you later." I said as soon as heard the warning  bell ring.

"Sure. Bye. Take care." She said enthusiastically.

"Bye Mrs. Weller."

What a sweet woman. 

So this is what happened. She's on a leave to complete her sleep. That's good and strange. Well let it be. But it also means that today I'll have to be all alone in cafeteria as well as in language and calculus. I ran towards my first class which was calculus where I spotted Ethan.

"Hey! Birthday boy. Happy birthday to you." I said.

"Thanks. Are you coming to my party?" He asked with a hope in his eyes.

" Definately."

"And Becca? Will she be coming? Or will you be coming alone?" He threw all the questions at me one after another.
