"Times Up." the teacher said happily as if she was ready to see how bad her students had failed.
I set my pencil down as she began walking around and collecting the tests. I looked over to my right to see a confident face plastered on Angelina Grady. She was probably the smartest kid in the class and had a delicate figure. Her big brown eyes popped out and she had short brown hair, about shoulder length. She was quite pretty and she used to tutor me in World History, which is the class I happened to be in right now at this very moment. I wasn't necessarily the best at school, but I wasn't bad either. I was kind of in the middle. Not too smart, but not bad. I was in the middle of putting my stuff away when the bell rang, finally signaling the end of the day. I rushed out as quickly as I could and found my locker immediately. When I pulled my backpack out and slammed the locker door shut, I turned to see a very pleased looking Jason.
"You certainly look happy." I stated.
"I am." he said excitedly.
"Whatever for my dear?" I said smiling.
"Well we are going to the movies tonight, unless you've decided to cancel." he said with a sad expression.
I slapped my hand on my forehead.
"I'm so sorry I totally forgot about that, but don't worry I can still go."
"Weird how the boy remembers everything." He remarked.
I rolled my eyes.
"C'mon lets go to your car." I said placing my hand in his.
Once we were inside his red Porsche we drove off to the theaters. When we were there we ordered two tickets to see a comedy. Neither of us are big on romance. Those happy endings never happen anyway. Life's not that perfect. Once we got our tickets we went inside and ordered a large popcorn, candy, and soda. We had two minutes until the movie started so we decided to have a little fun and take our pictures in the photo booth. We got one set of pictures each so we could both have one. The movie was about to start so we started looking for our door. Once we found the one we were looking for we got a middle seat and started munching on the popcorn. I set my phone on vibrate and the previews began.
When the movie was over we decided to go to the Spaghetti Factory to get some real food. We were soon seated at a table for two, ordering our beverages. Our waitress was preppy and enthusiastic and clearly checking out Jason. To shake her out of her trance I began to order.
"I'd like a Raspberry lemonade." I said.
"Huh, oh of course." she said hurriedly, while glancing at Jason.
"I'll have the same." he said in a bored tone.
"Umm ok." she said with a sad expression.
As soon as she left I began to confront him.
"You sure shot her down." I said amused.
"What?How?" he asked.
"She was totally checking you out." I said.
"Huh." He shrugged.
I was surprised he wasn't coming up with some smart allic comment right now.
"Well I can see why." he said nonchalantly.
And there it is.
I rolled my eyes at him.
"Must you always be so arrogant?" I asked teasingly.
"It's not arrogance. It's a fact." he said assuring me.
"Uh huh whatever. You just-"
"Here are your drinks." the waitress said giving Jason a big smile.
"Thanks." I muttered.
I could tell why she was staring. Jason was good looking and he knew it. He didn't acknowledge it much, which is more than I can say for some guys. His Blonde hair was perfect and he had deep blue eyes like the Caspian Sea.
"Are you ready to order now?" the waitress asked, while twirling her hair around her finger.
"Umm I'd like the Mozzarella Cheese." I said hungrily.
"Same." Jason added.
"Ok." she said and walked off.
After we had finished and paid we were in the car on our way home.
"It's no big deal Taylor. I won't actually do it." he said assuringly
"But isn't it obvious we're together?" I asked with bewilderment.
It was bad enough the girl was flirting with him the whole time, but then she had to go and slip her phone number in the little cash book when we went to pay. What kind of person does that?
" I mean learn a little respect. Two people of the opposite gender having dinner. Put two and two together. They're most likely a couple. I mean come on where does it end . Next she'll-"
Jason stopped me from my rant. "I promise I won't add her to my contacts. I threw it away remember? You watched me do it."
"Ok Thanks. Sorry about over reacting."
"It's ok. I understand. I would do the same thing if some guy came up to you and gave you his number."
"That's most likely not going to happen."
The rest of the ride home was pretty quiet with some occasional small talk.
When we finally got to my blue average sized two story house I got out of the car and blew him a kiss. He caught it and put it in his pocket to save it for a rainy day. I smiled. We are so cheesy.
When I was inside I saw my mom doing yoga on her yoga mat with a couple of other friends. Wednesday night was yoga night.
"How was school darling?" my mom asked.
"It was boring like usual." I replied.
"Girls I'll be back. I have to go get the lasagna out of the oven." my mom said motioning for me to follow her.
Once we got in the kitchen my mom began to check on the lasagna.
"How was your date?" my mom asked excitedly like a teenager.
"It was good, but our waitress kept flirting with Jason the whole time." I said rolling my eyes.
"Oh honey." she said putting her hand on my cheek. "She's just desperate."
"Yeah I guess. I gotta go work on my homework."
"Ok sweetie."
I rushed upstairs.
I took my textbook out and began to work on my Pre-Calc homework.
After finishing six more problems I was finally done. I quickly put on a pair of spongebob and Patrick footy pajamas and took out my contacts. I would never let anyone at school see me like this. No one even knows I wear glasses.
After quickly brushing my teeth I finally got in bed and fell asleep about ten minutes later. Another long day of school ahead.
