A 15 year old named Victoria loved to barrel race her horse alli. Alli was very trained and loved doing them, she never had a accident yet! ••She was working on barrels before she loaded up alli in the trailer they where just about to go to the championship barrel show. She had just arrived it was only 25 minutes away. Victoria unloaded her trailer took out alli and tied her to the side on the hook, and started brushing her. Next she puts the saddle on and gets up. She starts practicing outside before her classes start. She gets called "Victoria and alli please proceed to the ring". She does her first class and does good but apparently not good enough.. She got 8th place out of all of them.... now she hast to step up her game she thinks. She goes back out and practices even more. Then she lets alli cool down before the second class, so she ties alli to the trailer and Victoria starts braiding Allis mane and tail. She gets done and her name gets called again right as she finishes she hurrys to the ring. Victoria goes in and feels very confident she's so happy at the end because she feels something good inside, she came out with the 1st place ribbon.! We all new she could do it even if it was only once, she lets alli cool down for three hours while Victoria takes a nap. Can you believe she doesn't have a class for three hours! They thought that the last barrel competition should wait till last because the horses worked very hard on the last run. After her nap she goes to the stall she put alli just so she wouldn't get off the trailer some how, and now she's getting ready for the last and final show! She doesn't feel to good about this one but we all said she will do great, even if she gets 8th. She gets called to the ring again, and she goes in alli takes off flying around the barrels, the last one came to fast for her. Alli is not used to barrels this close to each other so she made to much of a sharp turn and she went tumbling forward on her knees, throwing Victoria off.. Victoria's leg was stuck under alli we all tried to help get alli off of Victoria but she didn't want to get up so we had to see if something was wrong, we gave alli an ex ray and saw that she had broke her cannon bone from landing that hard. But Victoria still got 3rd place out of all 8 shocker shocker everyone thought. Everyone was jealous because of what happend and how she got 3rd even though her horse was being iffy. And they didn't make it all the way.
