"1988. Holding close, I felt like I was floating on a cloud. You held me close as we stood in the middle of the room, no one else in the small flat. You looked at your guitar with smile then grabbed it. Sitting up, you put the guitar on your knee. You played a chord then nodded. I watched, waiting for the song to begin. Soon, the opening chords played. You began singing. Strawberry Fields Forever was picked because we both loved the Beatles and I loved the way you said Strawberry. It was too cute. And I will miss the little things that made me smile about you. The way you spoke. How angry you got over Man City games. The way your hair fell in your eyes every time you laughed. Those things made me smile. Every time I saw you, I fell more deeply in love with you, Noel. Everyone knew it too. Rosie, Liam, my Dad, your Mum. Everyone.
