Meredith's Games

Chapter 1

I wake up cold, yet warm. I get mixed feelings about what's going to happen. I get up and go to the showers. I shower and think.

"What am I going to do. I don't want to be separated from my brother. He inspires me. Without him I will be incomplete." I finish

showering and I get dressed. "Ow..." I said while looking down. "Sorry sis. What are you doing mom isn't awake? They don't need you

yet." Jake said curiously. "Sorry. Well actually, they need me early because I need to do my training." I look around and make sure

nobody is around. "Ok. Fine but be back before 8." "Okay." I run downstairs and out the door.

Victoria comes up to me and taps me on the shoulder. "What the..." I said. "Sorry. Didn't mean to scare you. Meredith you

remembered right?" "Of course I do. Come on." We run to the other side of the train tracks. "Vic use your ability. The traffic is going to

get us late!" "Okay." She quickly makes time slow down except for both of us. We run until we reach the academy. Vic then returns time

back to normal. "Come on we have to get to the Mystery Office." The Mystery Office is a place for students like us. A place for students

with rare powers. We run to the Mystery Office and Mr. Smith has already began teaching. "Girls. You're late. This will never happen

again." "Sir Yes Sir!" We reply. "Good. Now sit down."

We sit down and secretly practice our abilities. I'm not the only one that has the water ability. John is the other person with the

same ability as me. The school bell rings and we head out to recess. For the other kids it's actually recess but for Vic, John, and me, it's

time to practice our abilities. John and I go to an open area and we both shoot water into the dirt and we end up making a random

pond. Victoria slows time down and gets a chocolate chip cookie from someone and eats it. She then turn time back to normal.

"Seriously Vic. You didn't get one for us?" John said. "Sorry. Hey guys look it's Aliyah!" Vic says. Aliyah has the earth ability. The ability

to make flowers,trees, and pretty much any earth thing. She our best friend whenever we mix up our powers we always end up making

a tiny little garden. "Hey guys. What's happening?" "Nothing we're just practicing our abilities." Vic replies. "Later wanna go to my

room and practice?" "Sure!"

"ATTENTION!" Sergeant Greg yells. We run to our spots and pay attention. "At ease. Today we will be choosing the top 3 of each

ability. All 15 students will all be teammates at the competition. But training you are enemies. Now we will start choosing. Of course we

will start with the water abilities. John,Meredith, and Ann you will be the water ability team. Meredith you are the captain. Victoria,

Ace, and Carla you will be the time ability team. Victoria you will be captain. Aliyah, Kacey, and Carlos you will be the earth ability

team. Aliyah, you're captain. Noah, Julie, and Mikayla you're the fire ability team. Mikayla, you're captain. Last bun not least, Jorge,

Jack, and Calista you're the air ability team. Calista you're captain."

We all go to the front and breathe heavily because this competition is the matter of life or death.
