Meredith's Games

Chapter 2

We were very scared about this. We were all shivering. "Dismissed!" Sergeant Greg yelled. All of the captains started crying. The

captains, are the ones that usually get killed first, no matter what element the enemies use, the captains always gets killed. The school

bell rings. "Come on we have to go home." Victoria said. We walk home. When we reach my house, Victoria said, "Call me when you go

inside." I nod and walk into my room. 10 minutes I call Victoria with my phone. "Hey Vic, you home yet?" Victoria replies, "Ya... We

have to start packing, we leave tomorrow." "Did you tell your parents?" "Ya. Did you?" "No I'm scared to do it. I will do it later."

"You're kidding right?" Victoria says furiously. "No... I'm scared. What do you expect me to do? Say, Hey, Mom, Dad, I'm going to the Ability Competition so I can get killed,bye!" I said sarcastically. "Meredith, it's okay. All you have to say is you'll be gone for a few months for some training in space." "Okay fine. Call you in a few.Bye!" "Bye!"

We hang up and I go downstairs to my mom,dad,and brother. "Hey guys, I'm going to be gone for a few months, so..... I can do some training in space for this competition." "Okay sure. Start packing and don't forget to message us." My Mom said. "Yes, and don't forget to bring all your clothes." My dad said. "Also.... Don't forget about me lil' sis." "Okay thanks guys. I leave tomorrow I will miss you guys so much." I hug them and say my final good-byes to them. I go to my room, start packing, and call Victoria.
