On Our Own

chapter 5

“I love you.” That ran through my mind like crazy. When he said that my heart filled with joy and I could already feel my smile getting ready to burst. My cheeks were hurting as they were touching my eyes.

“I love you too!” I said with a giant smile on my face and my eyes bursted into tears of joy.

I ran out going to tell the nurse, who was helping my brother out. When I found her I told her everything. Like how he remembered his own name and how he even remembered my name and how I am his sister. Also when he told me how he loved me. When I was done telling her that she didn’t believe me. So I dragged her to my brothers room that he was in and asked him things like what’s his name, what’s my name, and am I his sister or not. When he answered those questions like I told the nurse. The nurse finally believed me.

“Can he come home with me today or maybe even tomorrow?” I asked the nurse

 “Well, I’ll need to ask the doctor.” The nurse responded

“Well ask the doctor already.” I said impatiently 

“Okay, okay” she said as she walked out the room getting the doctor.

As the doctor came in and saw that he remembered me and his name. The doctor said that he would be able to go home with me but I wouldn’t be able to tell him what happened all at once. Meaning that we would have to tell him a little at a time. So the doctor let my brother and me stay for one more night at the hospital. So I went in my room that I slept in and thought. I thought about how me and my brother going to get home or even what home would we go to. We have no one to go to. I finally dose off and feel to sleep.
