The Stranger is back

Ella's Pov

"Hey Ella are you ready yet?" Sam yelled at me from in the living room.

It has officially been an hour and I'm sitting here looking for clothes. I didn't have much clothes by Sam because I took most of them when I moved out.

"I'm almost done, stop yelling. Damn."

I pulled out a long jeans and a crop top from my bag of clothes.

"There I'm done. What you think?" I gestured my hand at my outfit.

"You look stunning, but maybe you should take my jacket it'll match your outfit."

"Yea great idea. It looks good on me."

"Now let's go get breakfast. I'm taking you to Denny's, it's a couple blocks from here so we'll walk." We exited his apartment then began our walk to Denny's.

I remembered the creepy man and kept an eye out for him. But I'm glad to say he was nowhere insight.
On reaching Denny's we took a seat then ordered breakfast. I ordered blueberry waffle, egg, bacon and orange juice, and Sam took a black coffee with the same meal as mine.

We waited for the waiter to come with our food. "Are you planning on going back home?" Sam asked.

I almost forgot about what happened last night that brought me to Sam apartment.

"Are you trying to get rid of me?" I joked.

He chuckled,"No I just want to know if you are comfortable hun. You're already getting married and you don't even look like your in love with him."

"I'm not sure, but I know when I'm with him I feel different. Sometimes I'm just lost into his eyes and his tattooed body is my biggest weakness." I stared off into space visioning how beautiful of a human he is.

"So you like him because he's hot? " Sam raised a brow at me.

"No it's not like that, if I went with someone for their good looks only, I would've dated you." Sam chuckled hard, making him make a snorting sound.

"Let's leave that one alone." He blushed .

He look so handsome with that smile. Glad he's my best friend.

After breakfast we walked to the nearby park and did some bird watching. Afterwards we walked backed to apartment.

"So are you ready to head back out there baby girl?" Sam asked leaning against the door with his hands folded.

"I guess so." I answered unsure.

"You know I'll rip his head off with my teeth if he or his motherfucking twin brother tries to harm you, and that pervert living in this building. Eventually I'm gonna find out who he is and do the same, I'm here as your best friend to protect you, now and always."

He made me feel so safe and happy.

"I know you'll protect me Sam, that's why your my best friend. I also know Stefan won't hurt me because I believe he loves me."

"Well, baby girl go to him. Try and work things out." He smiled then made way for me to leave.

As I opened the door I was face to face with Stefan. His appearance took some life out of me.

"Don't you ever leave me like that Ella." He said panting as if he ran a mile.

"Stefan I'm sor-ry." I stuttered.

"Let's go home, we need to 'talk'." He give me a sly smirk. Then told Sam we are leaving and thanks for taking care of me.

He held my hand and carried me down to the car. Before he opened the car door, I saw a man leaning on the car next to us smoking a cigarette.

"Are you alright Ella?" Stefan asked when he saw my face went pale.

"That man over there." My lips trembled trying to speak, I don't believe the stranger is back.

Stefan turned around and saw the man wave at me.

"Ella get in the car now!" He demanded.

I got into the car and looked through the back window. Stefan approached the man and to my surprise he pulled out what look like a gun.

My heart skipped a beat. What is he going to do?
