A/n welcome my loves. Please enjoy~
''''''''''''''''''''''I walk through the doors, up to a desk, a woman greets me. "New?" She says, probably uninterested in me and any of my interests. I nod, and she hands me papers and a dorm key. I grin, fake, yes, but it's the least I could do. I carry my heavy backpack and messenger bag to the dorms and open the door to my dorm, greeted by a girl looking down at her phone, earphones plugged in. I nervously sit on a bed opposite to hers. I accidentally bump something with my elbow and she jumps, realizing I'm here. She takes out her headphones and shakes my hand. She mumbles a hello and sits back down. I still don't know her name. "Ava, my name's Ava," I mutter. She looks at me and nods. "Your name is...?" I begin. She looks at me and says, "Brooklyn." I nod. What a neat name. Everything about sounds smooth. Which is why I hated it. She still ticked me off. I glared at my feet, then move over to my bed and plug in my computer. I open my laptop and start looking at my list of things I was going to write. I opened up a typing program and start typing as fast as I can. My hands run across the keys. My eyes droop a little bit and I get up to get some coffee from my bag. I rub my eyes a little bit and take a sip of coffee. Brooklyn looks at me disapprovingly. Why does she care? I look back at my computer and my brain decides now is a perfectly good time to-
Memories are flooding in. The sun, blinding me in an empty field.
I glance at the door, where someone was walking in. I rolled over, hiding my face. "Riley!" Brooklyn exclaims and hugs her. Brooklyn attempts at introducing me to the new girl and I look at her, a sad look in my eyes. She frowns slightly and turns back to Brooklyn. The two nod and leave the dorm. I sit up and look at my hands. I get a flash in my head of them being covered in blood. I shake my head to get rid of that thought. I grab my computer and type my problems away in a fictional story. It's about happiness, love. It's also about losing it minutes later. It's about me. It's about being happy for a while, only to be re-dragged into this hell-hole. Pulled by the demons that haunt her. She has nowhere to hide. No one to run to. Though I drank coffee, I fall asleep. It has been five days since I got reasonable sleep.
I am woken by Brooklyn, she's leaning over me kind of, reading what I was writing. I jolt awake and jump all of the sudden. She lurches backward. "Ah sorry." She says quickly. I close my laptop. I start to climb under the covers. She looks at me and says. "Your story is really good." And sits down on her bed. I smile. I try to say thanks, but words won't come out. I say thank you in sign language, hoping she understands it.a/n ahhh that sucked. gn
