It's currently Christmas break and I'm headed back home to the A. Up here in NYC it's cold as ever, and everyone that knows me knows I don't like the cold, but I do love my college so I just manage to deal with it anyways. My flight is Tomorrow at 7 in the morning and I'm so excited. I miss my family, I miss my friends and I need to see my god child Isaiah because he's grown up so much, and I've missed it all. He's gonna be one in 2 days and I can't wait to be there for his birthday.

" Esydnia, I can't believe your leaving me!" My roommate Briana cried. We've grown so close in these 2 past years. At first we were kinda shaky, but we got to know each other and things just clicked between us.

" Well... I asked if you wanted to come home with me."

She pouted" I would, but Jamir invited me to meet his folks and I can't just turn down the offer, I would seem like a bad girlfriend already."

I nodded" I'm gonna FaceTime you I promise, and trust me your gonna have so much fun if you just be yourself."I told her honestly.

" Yea, you have fun too." She said grabbing her suit case. I handed Briana her bag that was on her bed and she put it on her back. I then reached out and gave her a hug" Bring back a plate for me!" I cooed making her laugh.

" Bitch, you better hope and pray his mama can cook the way he talks about it cuz imma come back looking like a piece of paper." She teased.

I shook my head and walked her down to the lobby.
" Bye Bri! Have a safe flight, text me when you land."

" Ok I will!"

" Tell Jamir I said hi!" I shouted out of the door.

I then went back up to the dorm. I had already did all my packing yesterday, you can tell by this how anxious I am. It's currently 6:23 pm and I'm kinda having cravings some pizza, I could go for some good ole' seafood but imma wait to go home for that, cuz no one can throw down like the south does!

I picked up the my phone and called my friend Devin. He's a junior in college and he has a car so if I want to get around I just contact him.

" Wassup partna'" he mocked.

I rolled my eyes" Us folks down south do not talk like that."

" Yea? So why T.I. in ATL talk just like that?" He asked making me laugh.

" Whatever, anyways you busy?"

" Nope, I just got to my room from class watchu' need?"

" You hungry?"

" You paying?" He asked.

" I gotchu'"

" Good, cuz this college life ain't easy we out here struggle!"

I laughed" Yea, yea yea just get your butt over here!"

We hung up and I put on my coat and my sneakers.
I grabbed my phone along with my key & wallet and headed downstairs. I left out of the door and just as I was walking to the curb Devin pulled up. I smiled and got into the car.
