Chapter 1

Kangen sits in her 2nd hour English classroom and stares out the window, spacing off

*Flash back 6 years ago when Kangen is 9 and Senshi is 10*

"Come on Senshi! We have to get back before sunset!"

crying "B-but Aki-san! What about this baby turtle? Its hurt! Aren't we going to help it? Please can I take it with us?"

Sigh " Oh my gosh Senshi, your such a drama queen...fine you can take it with you, but we have to get back to the orphanage NOW!"

"Really Aki-san? You'd do that for me? Youre the bestest best friend in the whole world!"

"I know, now we have to get back"

-at the orphanage

"Hi Miss. Asami, I'm sorry were late. Senshi found a baby turtle and its shell was cracked and he was a total drama queen about it and he kept crying and-"

"Its alright Kangen, I understand. I know how it feels if your best friend is crying."

"Aki-san! I'm not a drama queen! Dont call me names!"

*Senshi runs upstairs to his room and slams the door*

"Great now hes mad, I think I should go talk to him"

Kangen starts walking towards the stairs, but Miss. Asami grabs her wrist.

"Kangen I know its not my place to be in, but I think that you should just let him get over his fit and apologize later. Mabey he wants to be alone."

"You're right, its not your place. Now let go and let me go talk to my best friend!"

Kangen snatches her wrist away and bolts up the stairs towards Senshi's room

Kangen apologizes but Senshi doesn't accept it

"Please Senshi? I'm really sorry for calling you names and for teasing you for being short!"

"Maybe you should think before you speak, like Miss. Asami says..."

He faces the wall and pouts

"Well then Senshi, I dont think that we can be friends anymore then."

Senshi turns around with a look of total shock on his face, and Kangen smirks a little at the sight of it.

"What?! Why?"

"Because, you know I never think, so I just speak my mind."

"I'm sorry Kangen! I didn't mean what I said! I was just trying to get you...to...apologize..."

Senshi just fell right into her trap, and he figured out what she was doing.

"Kangen!! You big meanie!!"

Senshi grabs a pillow and throws it at Kangen, which she catches and throws right back
