"No, I don't think she remembers." Niall muttered from behind the door, he was currently on the phone talking to an unknown person.

"I don't want her to fucking remember!" Niall said quieter yet in a harsh manner. It was a no brainer who he was talking about.

I took in my surroundings, the same old chandelier hung above my head, Niall's side of the bed was still warm and the faint smell of his cologne lingered through the sheets.

The door than opened and in walked Niall with a scold on his face. "What's wrong?" My eyebrows frowned.

"We need to talk," Niall muttered. My heart dropped, what was happening? "About your father."

I suppressed a disappointed oh. "What about him?"

"Do you remember what I told you, a few days ago?" My frown returned as I racked my brain. I shook my head a no. Niall exhaled harder than needed with a frustrated look on his face. "He was my boss, sweetheart."

I smiled, "Oh? Did you work at the company with him? Before the gang of course." Dad use to own a car garage. His love for cars was phenomenal. I never knew someone could find such a passion and turn it into work.

"No. Baby I can't have you freak out, you just have to accept what he did." My nerves spiked up, what was he talking about? My dad was an open book; his secrets were the family's secrets.

"I told you he was my boss, but - but that wasn't it."

"Your boss?!" anger flowed through my blood; dad would never be a heartless gang leader. He was far too kind!

"Don't get mad baby, please just let me finish!" I shook my head, even though I wanted to hear the rest.

"That night wasn't an accident, your fathers enemies planned to kill y-you and your mother and father." I choked on my own tongue.

What was Niall saying?

~Flashback~

I was up in my bedroom getting ready for dinner. Mother had made steak and mash potatoes - my absolute favourite! I grabbed my make-up wipes and took off the mask. Dad never liked me wearing make-up, but mum always let me wear it.

But dad never let me wear it when ate, it was disrespectful he would always joke. I heard the clatter of knives and forks against plate, indicating that they have started without me. I soon forgot about my smudged eyeliner making me look like a racoon and made my way towards the dining room.

"Started without me I see-"My tracks stopped, my breath became rough and my body shook. I felt as if my whole world had came crushing down, the hairs on the back of my neck stood up. I screamed as my knees buckled.

There sat my parents in their normal seats but their heads fallen onto the table and mouths open with drool running out. I pinched myself many times and kept looking up only to see that it was happening, my parents were laying there dead.

Police believed that mother had mistaken the salt for something else. They never suspected someone to do this. Everyone loved my parents, they were loving and kind. The case was closed almost immediately, no trace of anyone but mum.

Some thought it was food poisoning but it would have been nearly impossible for them to die instantly.

The cause of death was never confirmed.
