~Liam~

"Here's to our first Grammy award!"

Everybody from a mile away heard Louis Tomlinson screaming this, triumphant, with his usual loud voice. Liam Payne's laugh echoed throughout the entire field, on which he and his friends from their boy band 'One Direction' were celebrating. They'd just won a Grammy award, which was a lot to be proud of. This just had to be the best day of his life. His lips parted into a smile that went from his left ear to his right ear and he simply listened to his friends and fans' cheers. It will never get any better than this, he thought to himself as Niall Horan jumped on his back, whooping.

Music blasted; music that was picked by their own, special DJ, Zayn Malik. Glasses filled themselves with drinks of all sorts. People started dancing, chattering, cheering and flirting. Liam could not help but chuckle as he observed his friend Harry Styles be his usual charming self with a good dozen of girls around him. "Aren't you happy, Liam?" Niall exclaimed in his Irish accent, jumping off his back and grasping his shoulder. "A Grammy! A Grammy!"

"Couldn't be happier," Liam replied, with not one hint of sarcasm in his voice.

Niall laughed happily, patted his back and ran away, saying he'd come back later.

Liam plunged both his hands into his pockets and sighed deeply as he looked around and took the time to let the feeling of the moment sink in. This might never happen again. He was young, successful and surrounded by people he loved more than anything else in the world.

"I love you Liam!" a young woman exclaimed, coming out of nowhere.

"Thank you," he said with a polite smile.

"Can I buy you a drink?" the girl asked, trying to make an impression, but obviously too drunk to actually do.

"No thanks, I'm not drinking. Gotta take care of that kidney."

He nodded at her and walked away towards a denser crowd of people. Looking around, he noticed he was probably one of the only sober persons on the field at this moment. It was for the better though. He did not want to ruin the night with alcohol. He had to make the best out of it and keep the memories for as long as he possibly could.

Liam met with a few fan girls on his way over to the DJ. He didn't spend too much time with them. The poor girls were drooling over him and barely conscious of their acts.

"Hey, mate!" he said loud enough for Zayn to hear once he was next to him.

Zayn took his big headphones off his ears and hugged his friend.

"Liam! Hell of a party, isn't it?"

"Definitely. You're doing great!"

"I know right, I'm an excellent DJ."

Liam let out a soft chuckle and wrapped a single arm around Zayn.

"Sure you are."

Zayn, caught up in the moment, grabbed the nearest microphone and screamed into it.

"Vas happening!"

The fans cheered so loud Liam had to force himself not to cover his ears with both of his hands. Fortunately, the screaming didn't seem to affect anyone else.

"This song's for all of you guys! May we be forever young!"

At the same time, One Direction's song Forever Young came on. It was their song. Well, their version anyway. Liam felt pride rise all the way up his body.

"I love that song," a calm, feminine voice said behind him.

He turned around, slightly surprised, and saw a girl standing there. She wasn't tall, neither was she short. She only had a few inches less than he did. She was wearing her dark brown hair in a ridiculously long side braid, yet it looked beautiful. She had deep ocean blue eyes, as Liam loved them, and thin, red lips that fitted with her cheeks. The girl flashed him a grin, revealing perfectly white teeth.

"Thank you," said Liam, returning her smile. "You're a fan?"

"You can say that." She shrugged and smiled shyly. "Well... I guess I'll leave you now.

Plenty of other girls are dying to meet you."

Before Liam could say anything to keep her from leaving, she was gone.

"Whoo, who was that?" Zayn questioned with a chuckle.

"I have no idea..."

Liam blinked and tried to spot the girl among the crowd, but he did not success. She'd disappeared as fast as she'd appeared.

"Sorry, mate, gotta go," he mumbled to his friend as he slowly walked away, determined to find her and see her again.
