- DANIEL'S POV -

While she was busy signalling the bartender, I thought of going to the tables surrounding the stripping pole to get my eyes cleaned. Cause, what's the point of going to a club without spending some money on girls ay? I made my way to a table that has an empty seat which is located in the center of the room. I practically jogged my way there after seeing an old man aiming for that same seat just a couple minutes after I did.

Reaching the table, I pulled the chair back and peacefully sat on it knowing I just got an old man frustrated at something. I smirked, I got myself the best seat here and now lets just enjoy this 'show' shall we? A few seconds passed and them girls are starting to 'work' it on those poles. Oh goddamn, this feels like heaven.

Just as I thought this night couldn't get any more worse, all the lights suddenly went off leaving the whole club dark. I let out a defeated sigh, seriously this club needs a maintenance check once a month if this is going to happen often. I rolled my eyes and stood up, as I was about to take a step forward when suddenly the sound of a gunshot echoed in the dark room. My ears ringed and I closed it with both of my hands. I definitely hate the sound of gunshot, as it always reminds me of something traumatic.

Well, shit.

Now, the whole club has become a chaotic zoo. Girls were screaming out of fear and people were blindly running in the dark with no exact direction to go. Upon hearing this, I knew I had to get out of this place as soon as possible. I got down on my knees and crawled on the cold grey tiles. For as long as I've lived, I always believe in this one thing and that is, If you know the way in, you would always know the way out.

Whispering those words to myself, I continued to crawl and stopped once I stumbled on one of the bar's chair. I smirked while making a right turn after that. The door is not too far away now as I've reached the bar. I crawled even more faster and thank god I could feel metal door in front of me. I stood up and continue rubbing the metal door, looking for the handle. I twist the door open quickly once I found the door handle.

Sliding my body through the doors, I quickly closed it once I got outside.

"Ah shit.." The cold air of tonight attacked my neck and it send shivers running down my body.

Closing the door, I spun around to make my way back home. But I ended up locking eyes with the crazy woman from the private room. I rolled my eyes and sighed.

"What the fuck do you want now?" I rest my hands on my hips as I leaned on the hard bricked wall.

She was holding a file in her hands, and she was clutching onto it very tightly. That made me wonder of something.

"W-where are you h-heading now?" She shivered while stuttering to get those words out.

I looked at her, rather confused.

"Heading home, why?" I put both of my hands in the pocket of my jeans.

"Good then, I'll ask David to pick us up from your house." She nodded and eyed me.

"Whoever that David is, I ain't following you. But, you could follow me home cause its not safe here and we've got to hurry." I instructed and walked pass her while grabbing a hold of her wrist.

We walked side by side as I lead us to my house. I've got to say this would be the first time I'm bringing a girl home. But what can I say? I can't leave her there at the club alone cause there seems to be a shooting I guess. The way back home is pretty much calming for me. Along the sidewalk, there were many coffee shops and that's the most calming thing ever.

Whenever I walk home, I always pass by this sidewalk and every time, the aroma of fresh grounded coffee went inside my nostrils and it had never not brought me at ease. I smiled as I turn my head to the left - where all of the coffee shops are located.

Suddenly, I felt a hand pulling me down on my right shoulder. I looked to my right and saw her standing with only her left leg while her right leg is halfway up. I diverted my eyesight to see what she was doing, - apparently she was taking off her black heels off.

"Um, what are you doing?" I asked, while eyeing her.

"What does it look like I'm doing?" She bluntly replied, with a hint of sarcasm in her tone of voice.

"My feet hurts because of this heels and I don't think I could wear them any longer now." She let go of my right shoulder once she had both of her heels in her hands.

I nodded and continue walking. Well, can't blame me for hurting while walking in that god knows how many inches heels. Having my hands in the pocket of my jeans, I wonder on just one thing.

"Can I ask you something?" I asked, keeping my head low - staring at the wet tiles of the sidewalk.

"Ask away." She replied, and I could feel her gaze on me.

"What's your name?" I stopped walking and raise my head up to look at her.

I waited for her response as she stopped walking and turn around, facing me. I observed her, she is indeed beautiful but her face is just not familiar and that scares me.

She smiled, and looked down at her feet for a brief moment.

"Clary." She said, keeping her head down.

I raised my eyebrows.

"Clary Hastings." She repeated, this time looking at me straight in the eyes.

My eyes went wide, and I took a step back.

THAT CAN'T BE.
