You might know my story y/n, but not in the way I'm about to tell it. I used to be a straight A student, life was great! And then I met her..
The school bus pulled up to my bus stop, I pulled my hoodie on tighter and adjusted my headphones. Slowly, I got onto the bus, I wasn't really in too much of a rush nothing interesting was happening. And the morning was a quiet spring morning. The bus ride was fairly quiet too. Then we arrived at school. My best friend Toby gave me his famous grin. "Hey man." I smiled, taking off my headphones.
"S'up." The scruffy brown haired boy greeted, slinging an arm around my shoulders. "Dude look, I got a new video game check it out." Toby smirked, passing me the video game.
"Dude! No way!" I marveled excitedly at the Final Fantasy game, we had been waiting for a wicked long time to play this game, and Toby finally had it.
"Yes way, come over my house help me with homework and you can play." Toby smiled, stowing the game back in his bag.
"Sounds like a plan." I chuckle, adjusting my bag and heading into school. I could hear Toby following along, a little slower than me, I had heard that he was getting bullied by a group if kids in his class. There wasn't much I could do, and slimmer that he'd let me.
The thing with Toby was that he's so self reliant, he would never tell me the names of the kids bullying me. It's sort of like he's in another world, and comes down sometimes to talk. It's gotten to the point where I don't even think his parents are in the loop.
I immediately headed to homeroom, and took my seat. I stuffed my headphones in my bag, and took off my sweatshirt. After I had settled in the teacher came, with an unfamiliar girl in tow. She was pretty cute, but I know that I can't have her. The teacher called attention to himself, and the class calmed down.
"Students. I'd like to welcome a new student. Would you like to introduce yourself?" He smiled, a little more towards the girl.
"Of course!" She smiled, smoothing out her skirt. "My name is Lesley Green. I moved here from Alabama for my dad's job, and I hope to make lots of friends here." Lesley smiled once more, and took a seat next to me.
I blushed a light shade of pink, in my hopes it was barely noticeable. "So," I started turning around. "Alabama?" The blonde nodded, taking out a pen and some paper. Soon the class began and it went rather smoothly.
"Alright class, partner up!" The teacher announced, passing out papers. I looked over at Lesley who glanced around nervously.
"Hey..no partner eh? I can uh..be your partner I guess." I offered, adding a friendly smile just to make a better impression.
"Of course! I was gonna ask you but..I'm a little shy." She blushed, scooting her chair closer. "So what's this assignment about?"
"Uhm.." I scanned the paper, as I wrote my name. The assignment read;

Choose a historical figure to make your presentation about, and research facts and biographies on them! Please be sure to work productively.

"It's a historical figure project. So it looks like we have a few weeks to work on it...Seems like he's expecting some high quality products." I chuckle, getting up.
"Hey where are ya going?" She asked, turning around quickly. Her accent really slipped out there, I have to admit it was pretty cool.
I blushed, and hoped it wasn't too noticeable. "I'm getting the materials." I said, scratching my head.
"Oh. Alright." The blonde girl smiled, she turned back around. And I continued to the back of the room gathering the materials. Everything was already sort of laid out.
"Hey Mr. Clyde. Uh can me and Lesley go to the library?" I ask, Lesley looked over nervously. The teacher nodded and began to write a pass. Lesley got up and walked over to me.
