"Thank you for calling again, your friend who does wedding flowers has just arrived."
"You're welcome Miss Potter and Charlie is the best florist in town."
"Thank you thank you, can't wait to see you there, with your dog, Anna!"
"Are you sure it okay with you...I mean Angel isn't the most well behaved dog..."
"No no, it's fine, I'd love to meet him."
"It's a her Miss Potter."
"...Yes yes, what a delightful name..."
"You're not listening, are you?"
"Yes, yes I'am dear....yeah just place the flowers over there..."
"Okay well I'm going to jump into a volcano now."
"Yes sure sweetie, whatever makes you happy....now move them to the right...hmmm....no more to the left...!"
"See you tomorrow at 8am sharp."
"Okay bye..."
I stuffed my phone back into my pocket and sighed.
The white marble floor reflected the LED lights on my ceiling, making the kitchen seem taller, more elongated, than it is. The expensive floor was thanks to my part in one the most talked about celebrity weddings of the year.
Being a wedding planner had its perks, like going to celebrity weddings, the money, the dresses, the cake, the free food....but it also had it's downfalls. Dealing with stroppy brides and bridesmaids, getting everything right for them, spending so much time planning weddings you dont even have a chance, yourself, to go looking for love and talking to clients.
Some of my clients got on my nerves a bit, Miss Potter was one of them.
I would love to be 'busy' tomorrow and tell Miss Potter to shove it where the sun don't shine; unfortunately I can't do that because Miss Potter is my mum's best friend, so I apparently can't 'mess it all up.'
The only thing I can't mess up further is her disgusting personality. Its already messed up.
The folder I have put together for tomorrow is open infront of me on the counter-top of my breakfast bar.
I closed the folder shut so I'm not worrying about the little things.
Angel pads over to me and puts her enormous paws on the counter-top, before licking the side of my face with her long, warm, slobbery tounge; trying to cheer me up.
"Im over-thinking it, aren't I?" I don't expect her the answer, she a dog, for God sake, but it is nice just to chat to her, "How much trouble can one dog do, eh? Maybe I'll just tie you up in a corner."
After I said that Angel cocked her head to one side and looked at me.
"Do you want to come with me?" Angel barked in reply, sometimes I swear she knows exactly what I'm saying.
I remember when I was little I wanted to bring my dog everywhere I went. It seemed like a good idea back then.
Now, even letting Angel off her lead is a bad idea.
As a Great Dane, she is supposed to be a gentle giant; although sometimes she is like that, most of the time she is obnoxious, throws her weight around and likes to get her own way.
And I'm planning on taking her to a wedding!?!?!? What could possibly go wrong...?
