As we made our way into the cafe, the smell of freshly baked goods filled our noses. I heard Calum take a deep smell of our surroundings. I blush and looked away when he saw me gazing at him. He let out a laugh as he placed his hand on the small of my back and we walked to our usual spot. I took the seat near the window and itmediately scanned the menu.
"Usual drink?" He asked, leaning forward on the table.
"Ur, yeah. thanks!" I shouted as he walked to the counter.
I looked over the foods and decided we have to share the steak diner. He came back with my pink lemonade and slid it in front of me. We talked and laughed about stupid little things until our lunch came. I smiled to the waitress as she placed our food on the table. I looked up to her and saw her give me a smile and glanced back to Calum. I looked at Calum as he was running his fingers through his hair. I looked back up to her and she gave me a wink and walked away.
As we ate we would accasionally give comments on the food and maybe throw a piece or two at each other. When we were done I excused myself and went to the toilet. I looked at myself in the mirror and adjusted my top, as well as my jeans before leaving the restroom. I stood next to the table and poked Calum.
"Ready to go Cal?" I asked, pulling my purse out.
"Yeah, sure." He stood up, pulling out a 20 from his pocket. He placed it on the table and grabbed my wrist, pulling me out. I wiggled free and gave him the 20 back.
"What are you doing?" He asked, laughing at me.
"If you pay for it all, it's a date" I said, putting my money on the table.
I huffed and walked towards the door. I felt him hold my arm. I was surprised when I felt his hand on my butt, but then he slid my money into my pocket. I looked at him with a bit of anger, but it faded when he smiled at me.
"I thought it was a date" He winked.
I laughed as we climbed back into his car and we drove out of there.
