They were sitting there nervously, waiting for the other to say something, watching the floor intently. Neither of them expected to be left alone so quickly, neither of them really wanted to be left alone so quickly. It meant they had to work on their problems.
"I hate you." Piper muttered as Sherlock and John walked out of the flat, leaving her and Alfie alone.
"No you don't!" John called back over his shoulder. She almost jumped out of seat and shoved him down the stairs, but figured Sherlock would probably sink a knife into her head before she could hurt John.
"Sooo..." Alfie slurred a little as he drummed his fingers against the armchair. Piper glanced around the room awkwardly, trying desperately to avoid her brothers gaze. They hadn't really spent any time in the same room alone. Someone had always been with them.
"Want to...watch....something?" She suggested, still not looking him in the eye.
"They took the remotes." He pointed out.
"Ooof course they did." She huffed to herself. "How about-" she didn't even get to finish her question before Alfie spoke up.
"They took the keys, they took the remotes, they hid the money, they hid the games, they took my phone AND your phone and gave Mrs H strict instructions NOT to let us out." He ranted, throwing himself out of his chair and into the kitchen. Neither he nor Piper were 'talk it out' people. They'd rather bottle it all up and take it out on whoever was the subject of their next case. He ran back out into the living room and crouched down in front of the TV
"A-Alfie?" Piper asked, slightly concerned of Alfie's wide eyes and quiet muttering. He jumped up and yelled in joy when the TV flickered on. "How?" Piper tilted her head.
"I remembered how to hack a TV. Now time for you to be useful and go get us some Chinese food from Mrs H." He pulled her up and gently pushed her out of the door. She came back half an hour later with Chinese food in her hands and noticed that Jeremy Kyle was on TV. She pointed to it in confusion. "It was the only thing on. It's better than nothing so don't complain. Anyway you used to love Jezza." She rolled her eyes and threw the food at him.
"Shut it" Four hours later, when Sherlock and John finally got home, they smiled and high fived each other in success before covering the two over. They had fallen asleep on each other: Piper had her legs over Alfie's and her back leaning against the arm of the sofa and Alfie had his head resting on Piper's stomach. John and Sherlock smiled to each other and went their own ways to bed, not one of them realizing that Piper had a plan for revenge.
