Chapter 1

The friendship express bounced and jiggled down the tracks towards Ponyville, "wow! i can't believe how far you bucked that hay bale Applejack!!!" Applebloom said swaying in her seat "i mean you almost kicked it up to cloudsdale!" Applejack blushed "pshaww i didnt kick it THAT far..." she said turning to look out the window. she started to think about the rodeo, it wasnt THAT bad of an injury, it wasnt THAT bad of an accident, it wasn't THAT bad, wasn't THAT bad..... she was so deep in thought that she didnt hear the voice at first. "Applejack!! Applejack!!" Applejack snapped back to reality and looked around, "something wrong? what happened?" she said looking from Big Mac's tired face to Appleblooms excited bright young face, she was jumping up and down in her seat, pointing a hoof at Applejacks flank "its your cutiemark Applejack!" she said. Applejack looked down at her flank, her cutiemark was glowing, emminating little apples from the center, "oh boy! its the map!! must be a mission!" she said "wonder whos going with me?" Applebloom stopped bouncing and thought for a sec. "oh wouldn't it be the coolest thing if Rarity went with you Applejack?" she said giggling "oh i can see it now. SweetieBelle would go insane!!" she giggled uncrontrollably, falling onto her back and rolling of the seat, hitting the floor. "ow!" she said rolling back up onto her hooves. the train's brakes started whining, Applejack looked out the window and saw the castle of the princess of friendship slowly roll by and then stop as the train stopped at the train station. "Ponyville!!" the conductor yelled. Applejack stood up and trotted to the door, out onto the platform she went, two little fillies came running up to her. "well howdy SweetieBelle, Scootaloo." she said. "hey Applejack" they said half-mindedly. "hey Applebloom you'll never guess what happened!!" Scootaloo said walking right up to Applebloom, "what happened?" Applebloom said. "well first, Princess Twilight and her friends were standing here waiting for you guys, then RainbowDash swooped in on top of them, said something, then they all ran off" Applejack rolled her eyes and started to trot away "silly fillies" she said "you know the weirdest thing was that RainbowDash's cutiemark was glowing" Sweetiebelle said laughing. Applejack whipped around and stared at Sweetiebelle, "was anypony elses cutiemark glowing?" she asked, Sweetiebelle thought for a second then shook her head. "no. it was just RainbowDash's" Applejack said thanks and took off towards Twilights castle at full gallop.
