In my world, Zombies are real.
Woah, woah. Before you start a mass-murdering, let me explain. Yes, Zombies have: weak vocal abilities, unsure footing, weak eyes, and gray skin. They are still human, they have never been dead or physically injured beyond a paper cut or coffee burn. They were programmers hired en masse many years ago in a burst of tech development. A few years ago, they were released back into the world from their literal corporate prisons.
At first, the world was startled. A news clip literally read: "Where are these presumed dead people coming from? THEY ARE UNDEAD--- KILL THEM 'TIL THEY'RE REALLY DEAD!!" Then, a month later, the same news outlet read: "FAMILIES RE-UNITED-- DO NOT KILL THE GREY ONES!!" The gray ones. Rude. They've only been gone for a maximum of 20 years.
All I wonder is what they were programming before they got fired... The walking A.I.'s I work with tell me that there was a lot more than just personalized communication tech-programming. Speaking of... I never knew the day when two customers walk in would be the day that changes my comfortable routine of a life.
