The only sleep I got was interrupted by at least ten people rushing into my house a split second after my dad opened the door. I rose from my position on the couch curiously, examining those who came from the castle. I was quickly brought to my feet and was given ten minutes to brush my teeth, get dressed, and brush my hair out.
A woman with brown hair with pink highlights wrapped a measuring tape around my waist, chest, and hips. She took exact measurements of my feet and hands. A man took close up pictures of my eyes, my hair, all of my facial features.
They were all out of my house by lunchtime, except for one woman who introduced herself as Leanne. Her, my father, and I sat on the couch. She had a blue clipboard tightly held in her hands, she scribbled down quick notes before she began saying anything.
"I'm here to go over some quick rules and ask a few questions, then I'll be out of your way," she says plainly. I nod my head and my father stays silent. "Okay, first thing. If anything on your form was a lie, tell me know. That is a crime punishable by death."
"Everything on there is the truth," I assure her. Leanne nods her head then looks back at her clipboard.
"Lovely, are you currently taking any medication and if so, what are they?" I answer all of her questions. Most of them are simple; any allergies, are you healthy?
"Lastly, are you a virgin?" Leanne asks like it's not big deal. My dad coughs loudly, and I blink in surprise.
"Ah, yes. Yeah of course," I reply.
"Okay perfect. Here's a few rules, they're all pretty serious, so I'd pay attention," Leanne advises as she hands me a paper with a number of rules in them.
     1. You are not to have an affair with any other person, Prince Oliver is the only person you're allowed to be with. Doing so would be considered treason.
     2. Any physical fights with the other Selected with result in immediate removal from the castle, as well as The Selection.
     3. You're not allowed outside if the castle grounds without permission from Prince Oliver, King Bradley, or the head of the guards.
     4. You are to participate in all social events, unless excused by a doctor, or Prince Oliver.
     5. You are now owned by Illéa, you are your family's Caste has now been moved to Two's.
     6. Only Prince Charlie can send you home
     7. Your family will receive a compensation for every moth you are at the castle.
     8. You cannot refuse Prince Charlie, by refusing him you'll be committing treason, and therefore punishable.

"What?" I exclaim. The last question caught me by surprise. "He can do whatever he wants to me and I can't say anything about it?"
Leanne shrugs her shoulders. "That's the rules sweetly, I don't make them"
"But that's not fair! Am I not entitled to control my own self?" I yell angrily.
"Life's not fair. An escort will be at your house tomorrow at eleven A.M. you need to be ready by then. You can bring a small bag, but nothing bigger than one foot tall. No weapons and no alcohol."
Just like that she was gone. I sat in stunned silence while my Dad walks into his bedroom. My eyes were dropping low, the butterflies in my stomach have fallen from tiredness. Suddenly the couch felt so comfortable and I fell into a deep sleep.

"Your escort is going to be here in forty five minutes Morgan. Get up," My dad,s voice says from the hall. The sun leaks in through the window in my bedroom, Dad must've carried me in here last night.
I get up quickly and dress in the required uniform, black plants and a white shirt. I tuck Bankston's flower into the pocket of my shirt, a daisy. I run a brush through my hair and brush my teeth, leaving me fifteen minutes to pack my bag. I grab a small drawstring bag and stuff a picture of my sister, a picture of my dad, a tooth brush, a letter my mother sent me when she went on a trip to visit my grandparents, tennis shoes, and a book. After lots of cramming, all of my items fit in the small bag.
A sharp honking sound makes me jump and butterflies wake up in my stomach. Sara's soft figure walks in my room, her face was stained with tears, her eyes were glossy with the remnants of sadness. "It's time to leave Morgan." She smiles softly.
"I'm gonna miss your Sara," I say, my voice cracking. All of the tears that have built up suddenly explode and I hug my sister goodbye by the limousine. My father waits behind Sara as tears flood down our faces. "Don't let Dad get to you, he's just grumpy."
"Dad," my voice is quiet. I let go of Sara and I run to my dad. He embraces me tightly and strokes my hair. "I'm going to miss you."
"I'm going to miss you too, Mo. Stay safe, okay?" He kisses my cheek and releases me from the hug. The limo driver beckons me over, getting impatient. I wave goodbye to them as I get in the car. The black leather seats provide no consolidation. I wave goodbye as the white limo pulls away from the drive way and drives up the street.
