Armen's P.O.V
''Up there?'' I asked. ''Yup! Now come on!'' James said just before sprinting off towards it. I rushed after him. ''What do we do when we get to the top?!'' I asked running up beside him. ''There should be a beacon at the top, so when we get to the top, we turn it on, and hope that Test Subject #3 sees it!'' He answered. We kept running until we were at the base of the building. I look around. ''There's no doors...'' I heard James chuckle. He pulled out a leaver and placed it on a out-of-place gold block, and fliped it. After a few seconds a hole in the wall opened up that was one block wide and two blocks high, just big enough for someone to walk through. ''Well, follow me!'' He quickly walked threw the hole, and I followed. ''How are we getting to the top?'' I asked. He looked at me as if I were stupid. ''Stairs.'' He said, then pointed to something. I turned to see what he was pointing at. He was pointing at a set of glass stairs that went well with every thing around it, and some how just, appeared out of no where. I begain to climb the stairs, with James right behind me. ''So, who is Test Subject #3?'' I asked while walking up the stairs. ''Well, um... as his name says, he's Test Subject #3, and-'' I cut him off. ''Why was he a test subject? What were you and your... your friends testing?'' James sighed. ''He was our third test subject for something that we are creating, and he's the only one out of the 3 people who survived it.'' He said. ''So, what happened to the other two?'' ''Umm... our first test subject got them...'' ''What?!'' I said startled, and a little confused. I looked down, I haven't noticed how high we were. We were high enough to loose almost all of our hearts if we fell. James sighed again. ''Well... there was a test subject, well, more like a project, before them... ''. ''And? What happened next?'' ''He turned out to be a project gone wrong... just something happened to him, which we aren't sure what, but soon after the 'inciedent' happened, something changed his way of thinking, his way of acting, his whole mind. Some how, he became linked to the system, like me, and was soon out of controle. And like what I told you earlyer, we distroyed his body, and soon after that, he disappeared.''. Then everything went silent, except our foot steps on the glass stairs. Soon, we were at the top.
''What do we do now?'' I asked. I looked around us, this was probably one of the tallest buildings around, because I could see the tops of many other buildings, and only a few were as tall as the one James and me were standing on. ''We activate the beacon!'' He shouted over the wind. When we had gotten to the top, we seen a storm in the distance. I asked James if he was doing it, but he just shook his head and said. ''Probably just a bug in the system, I'll get that fixed later.'' I just stood there, I really didn't know what to do. I just begain to pace back and forth. Suddenly, there was a flash of blue-ish white light. ''I turned it on!'' James said happily over the wind. ''Shouldn't we head inside? The storm is getting closer!''' I shouted pointing to the dark cloud in the distance. James paused for a second. ''Your right, let's head inside. Hopefully Test Subject #3 sees the beacon.'' We walked over to the stairs. ''Beat you to the bottom?'' James asked. ''No, more like I'll beat you to the bottom.'' I said with a grin. James returned the favore. We got ready... and we were off! I ran for the stairs, while James did the same, but as he got closer, he seemed like he was going to fall into a hole near the stairs. ''Carful!'' I shouted, but it was too late. James jumped into the hole. I ran up to it, to find James at the bottom in a pool of water. I jumped into the hole after him. Landing in the pool of water with a loud splash. ''Never underestimate me.'' James said still grinning. We got out of the pool of water. ''What do we do now? Just sit in here until the weather clears up?'' ''Yup.''
•°•°•°•°An Hour Later°•°•°•°•
''Has it cleared up yet?'' I said in a dull voice, bored out of my mind. ''A little.'' ''Can't you just, make it go away or something? Like you turned on the beacon?'' I asked. ''Normaly, I could, but-'' ''How? Like using some kind of contraption or something?'' ''Let me finish.'' James said looking out one of the many windows. ''If I wanted to make it go away, I could.'' ''How?'' He turned and looked at me with his brown eyes. ''All I have to do is think what I want to happen.'' He said. I staired at him, shocked. Then I did something that I even didn't expect, I laughed. ''Good joke James!'' I said before laughing more. He look at me right in the eyes. ''I'm serious...'' I stoped laughing. ''It's not possible.'' I said. ''Prove it. If you can.'' ''Alright, what do you want to appear?'' ''hmm... how about... a diamond block.'' I said. I knew he didn't have one on him, that's why I chose it. ''All right.'' James answered with a smerk. I waited a about a minute. ''I don't see any th-'' Tgere was a sudden white light. When it died down, I looked around. Infront of James and me was a diamond block. Brand new, no scraches or anything. ''How did you...?'' ''I told you, I just need to think what I want to appear, and then bam, you got a diamond block.'' He said. ''It took me a while 'cause I usually don't need diamond blocks.'' He said. How could he not need diamond blocks? ''Wait, if you can make diamond blocks, and anything else appear out of thin air, why didn't you just like, hire a test subject?'' I asked. He sighed. ''Well, like we all told you, this just a simulation, computer generated. If we tried to bring something from a simulation to the normal world, it would create a black hole and distroy the universe...'' I looked at him in terror. ''Just kiddin'.'' He said with a grin. I let out a sigh of relief. ''Don't.ever.do.that.again.'' I said. ''Haha! You need to lighten up a little bit Armen, take a joke once in a while.'' He said. ''You just sounded so serious about it.'' ''Did it?'' ''Yup.'' ''Oh... so that's why you were so scared! You probaby don't know what 'sarcasm' is, do you?'' ''What?'' ''Exactly.''
We stood there in a awkward silence. ''So... what would happen?'' I asked. ''There are a few possibilitys, the computers could get a virus, a really, really bad virus, they could also explode. The person carrying the object could burn to ashes, or earased from the whole code. The lab back in the normal world could loose power, the computers could also get stuck, trapping our minds here... and maybe a few more possibilitys.'' He finished. ''Ok, 'don't bring things into the normal world', got it.'' I said. I looked back at the diamond block. After a few seconds, it turned into a bunch of floating pixels and disappeared. I just turned away. ''Thank Notch I found you!'' I heard a unfimiliar voice say. I looked up, a man about my age was standing at the small door of the building, soaking wet, wearing ripped up clothes, as if he had been in a jungle for a month. James smiled. ''Armen... meet Mark.''
(A/N: I hope that was ok, sorry if it seems boring. =( )
