Chapter 2

  "Could it be him?" Our eyes met. Yung parang matutunaw na. 

 "Ok ka lang Keith?" Biglang sabi ng isang unidentified girl. Ayun! Sinira mo ang momentum eh. What? Keith??

 "I'm sorry. That was my fault. Hindi kita nakita." He said at sinuli ko ang phone niya. 

 "O-ok lang." Sabi ko naman. He is so damn cute. Tas ngumiti pa siya. Ayy, perfect! Kaso sino naman tung babaeng 'to? Can't she see? Destiny is working out for us two tapos epal pa. 

 "Let's go babe?" Eh? Babe? Teka lang. What? Babe? Putcha. May gf pa.

 "Aray. BABE daw. Enngk. Tsk. Tsk." Bulong naman ni Sam.

 "I don't care Sam. He's mine." Pagmamatigas ko. Nagsimula na akong maglakad. Plano ko sanang sundan sila. 

 "Haven't you heard it? O nagpapakabingi ka lang? BABE na nga diba?" 

 "Sam, I'm not giving up on him. Siya yung tinutukoy ng horoscope. And there is something special with the way he looks at me."

 "Ahh basta Mariette ah? I'm out of this lunatic illusions of yours." 

 "Sam, I'll guaranty you. He will be mine."

 "Ayan na naman yang ngiti mong yan eh. May masamang mangyayari after niyan. Proven and tested."

 "That girl was Sophia right, son?" 

 "Yes, mom. I heard, she's in States now." 

 "Really? Wonderful." Tita looked at me akala niya siguro affected ako. Naseselos medyo pero pyts na. 

 "I'm sorry hija, that girl, Sophia, is an amazing girl and we are really that close but naghiwalay sila dahil s---" 

 "Mom, that's not important now. The important is that I have Mariette with me and I know she would never do that to me." Tiningnan niya ko. I was dumbfounded. Hindi ko alam kung bakit sila nag break ni Sophia. I don't have the guts to ask him. Ngumiti nalang ako sa kanya. 

 FAST FORWARD...

 "Bii? Are you angry?""Mm? Me? No." 

 "It seems like you are. I'm sorry about that." Alam kong si Sophia ang pinag-uusapan namin ngayon. I'm not that stupid.

 "Why would I get angry? She is your past love already right? I don't have to worry, do I?""Of course not. Bii.." He hold my hands and kissed them. 

 "Nothing to worry and I want you to know that I love you. Only you. Bii? What happened after you and I met?"

 "So you did forgot." 

 Flashback

"Bess! May bago daw na transferee sa pasukan." Sabi ni Sam habang busy sa phone niya.

"Lalake?" Sabi ko with my eyes wide open 

 "Here we go again." Then she rolled her eyes. 

 "Sam naman eh. Kontra-bida ka talaga sa lovelife ko." 

 "Hindi. Tanga ka lang talaga na maniwala na lahat ng lalaking pumapasok sa buhay mo eh forever mo na."

 "So lalake nga. Eeeeh-eeh." Then this time, she totally ignored me. 

xxx 

 "So ako yung guy na transferee?" 

 "Yup. Ikaw yun. At simula noon, lagi na kitang kinukulit. " and we both laughed. 

 "That's the time when I fall in love with you. We're here. See you tomorrow Bii." Then she kissed me goodbye. 

 "Okay? Tomorrow? Wait? Anong meron bukas?" 

Wala naman akong naalalang special bukas. Hindi naman namin monthsary bukas, hindi ko naman birthday, baka birthday niya?? Oh no. 

 "Bye Bii!" He excitedly waved his last goodbye and get back to his car and started the engine and drive.

"What the?! It's his birthday tomorrow! What would I give him? Think Mariette, think. What would I do?"

I went inside the house and found Sam in my bed.

"You're twenty minutess late."

"Curse you Sam. 20 minutes lang naman eh. I have a bigger problem than that."

"Tell me, it's about Sam?"

"Exactly Sam, I forgot it's his birthday tomorrow and nakalimutan ko, now what would I do?"

"I have an idea." Ito na naman siya with her evil smile. The last time we surprised Keith, she let him stand sa pinakadulo ng cliff. Keith is afraid of heights, and we both know that. Stupid lang talaga to si Sam minsan. "Pramis hindi na ganun!" then she added.

Pagkabukas...

Keith's family had his surprise party at their house so Sam and I planned to have my surprise in his party.

Sam made a video of my pictures with Keith. All the monthsary surprises made by Keith, all the groufies and lots. nag edit pa siya ng mga pictures namin sa photoshop. Marunong kasi mag edit si Sam eh. IT eh. may sasabihin pa ba ako?

So it's all ready...

"Ehem... ehem.. Good evening to everyone. Thank you for coming for our very own Keith... Now may we show you a video Sam made for my Keith. Hope you like it Bii." kinabahan ako at medyo nahihiya. ^^ Good luck.

Fast Forward..

And the video presentation goes on very well. Tawa ng tawa si Keith at tinitingnan ako na parang kilig na kilig. ^^ Masaya ako't natuwa siya. At natapos na nga ang presentation. Pumunta siya sa harap paakyat sa stage kinuha niya ako sa gilid at pinapunta sa gitna ng stage. 

"This girl is a very precious girl to me. She never failed to make me smile. She brings is the sun in my shine. She is my happiness and i will never let her go."

"Awwwwwwe. Ang sweet." nang-react na ang mga tao. nahihiya na tuloy ako. Tiningnan niya ako.

"Thank you and I love you Bii." and he leaned forward and kissed me on my lips. Nagkakagulo na ang mga bisita ni Keith. Masaya din ako at thankful naging akin si Keith.

"A party I wasn't invited? So bad." Napalingon ang lahat sa dumating na magandang babae.

"Sophia?"
