When I say I, I am referring to Sophie. Below is the dress that Sophie is going to be wearing.

I sat at the table playing with the straw in my drink. Dex sat next to me doing the same thing. They came to this dance with nobody, and so far it is really boring. Maybe if I left nobody would notice, but Dex would notice so that was what was stopping me. We had just graduated from the elite levels and we were all ready to be done.

Fitz and I were cognates, but apparently that was falling apart. I was watching him talk with every girl in sight. Was I one of them? Nope. I felt my cheeks get warm as I thought about him. Why did my heart always flutter for him, and when he talked to me...All I wanted to do was cartwheels.

"Ugh,"Dex made a weird noise as he slumped back in his chair. We hadn't gotten our match making scrolls because Biana wanted to get them together. I decieded to wait until I graduated before I got mine.

Biana, Keefe and Fitz all were talking with people having a great time. While the closest to fun I had was when Dex almost fell out of his chair. Biana decided to come join us, she pulled out a chair and sat.

"What are you guys doing."She sat there patiently waiting for an answer.

"We are doing nothing,"I spoke with no power to my voice. Biana smiled and offered Dex her hand.

"Do you want to dance?" Her smile was beautiful as she spoke. Dex looked at me and looked at Biana than back at me.

"Can I?"He made his eyes big. Dex had began to have a crush on Biana, how could I say no.

"Of course." I smiled and waved them off.  Now I am alone. I sat there in silence as a chair was pulled out. Part of me wanted to look up to see who wanted to sit right next to me, but the other half wanted to just be quite.

"Sophie?" A accented voice spoke to me. I looked up to see Fitz with a look on his face. It looked like he was concerned, maybe it was the fact I was sitting alone or the fact that I was playing with my drink.

"What?" I asked wondering what he wanted to say.

"Come with me," he spoke so calmly. Fitz grabbed my hand lead me outside. We walked for a while until we came to this beautifully lit up garden.

There were lanterns everywhere and various different kinds of flowers. My mouth formed a smile as he brought me to the centre. We stood there not talking or doing anything but standing there.

"Listen, Biana is making us request our matchmaking scrolls tomorrow and I wanted to tell you something." He stopped talking and we stood there. My stomach was doing flips and fluttering just thinking about what he was gonna say.

"Sophie I ummmm..." a blush formed on his cheeks and he looked away. I am pretty sure my face is on fire. "I like you." He spoke though it took a while to come out it was still the best thing could have said.

"I like you too."

"No Sophie," he paused, " I really like you."

"I really like you too!" Fitz looked at me and was about to say something but I put a finger on his lips. WAIT I PUT A FINGER ON HIS LIPS!? What was I thinking? I removed my finger and spoke. "I like you the same way you like me..." He smiled, and I felt like I was gonna have to grab my stomach to calm it down.

"Wait so you like me and I like you?" I nodded my head and he hugged me. We stood there hugging each other for a long time. The stars shone brightly and I could stand there for hours.

When the embrace ended I looked into his beautiful teal eyes. My heart fluttered all the way untill the gap closed between us.
