(So I decided to write how things went from Otaku's perspective. It may contain a little amount of spoilers, but I'm just missing rping as her so much)
(Anyways, without further ado, here you go ^^)
Otaku gasped, jerked awake by the rough turn of the vehicle she was currently in. She let out several deep breaths, wishing she could wipe the strands of hair off her face. It was kinda hard to do that, however, when you were cuffed to the car.
She had been having an eerie dream, before being rudely jolted into the eerier reality. A plain white patio with five children playing and laughing, chatting, singing....their song starting out as a pleasant homage to their home to a chant-like requiem: Come, come back to the hills, why did you leave us, why do you stand still-- Like a cold glass of water abruptly thrown onto one's face, the memories and truth of what she'd done all those years ago continued to haunt her, even through all the repressive mental barriers. Had they no end, no satisfaction? When would these visions; these, these apparitions....just leave her in peace?
"Hey, freaky girl." The soldier next to her said, leaning down close so he could peer directly into her face. "Why are you crying? Do you actually feel regret now? Sure took you a while to show it, huh?"
Otaku bit her lip, willing herself to have the strength to stay silent. Of course she had felt regret! How could she not, when the lives of so many had fallen under her thumb? What possible human being WOULDN'T be sorrowful, knowing that their families lives and honor had all been shortened considerably thanks to them? She wasn't some monster, committing crimes with heartless committal...no, she had complete and utter regret over the events that had transpired. But she also had her reasons, and if given the choice, would do it again.
So she remained silent, refusing to answer his remarks. With a scowl, he tugged her arm so she was forced to look at him. "Listen, princess...shedding a few crocodile tears because you're going to be locked up isn't going to make you're situation any better, its just going to make me and my partner over there, even more p.o.ed! So if you know what's good for you, you'll shut up and stay quiet!" He then pushed her away, red marks from his fingers all over her arm.
The other soldier, who sat at Otaku's left, grumbled angrily. "You were making a lot more noise than her, Felix."
"Yeah, well, she needs to learn her place." The other soldier muttered, taking out a long knife and sharpening it. "And besides, I thought I might as well give her a warning about how I work. Because next time, I'm letting my knife do the talking."
Otaku quickly gulped, starting to feel more panicky than ever. She tried to think of pleasant thoughts, hoping tears would vanish so she could concentrate on being as quiet as possible.
Hmm, well, there was the fact that the others wouldn't know about this and so wouldn't come after her and get in trouble. Though that was also sad, since that meant less chances of getting rescued...
She wasnt going to have to do all the shopping anymore. Maybe now that she was gone, the others would start taking more responsibility.
And maybe, just maybe, by the time she was back, they'd have the entire third season of Konosuba out. Oh, that would be the best bonus EVER.
She slowly smiled and closed her eyes, starting to drift off into sleep again. And this time, it was more peaceful than before.
(I was going to bunch it all into one chapter, but after accidentally deleting this before I think I shall split it up, so....to be continued!)
