In this book I have created another race of supernatural beings.... humans who have a special talent( also referred as gifts) and a weapon to defend themselves. This group is known as arnoxes... so I hope you enjoy.
Everyone was staring at him but he was walking without any sign of nervousness towards the queen's study. Why wouldn't he ? He was like the queen's favourite warrior. He was not scared of anything. Well he had got the most amazing gift anyone could ask for! When he reached the queen's study, the whip curled out of his hand and twisted the knob. He only used his hands to eat as to everyone's knowledge ( but there are actually many personal things he needs to use his hands for). As he went, the queen greeted him with a smile. He looked at her without a bit of emotion and said, "so, what do I have to do?" She was calm, she knew his nature. So she got to the point, " there is a girl named Evelyn, I want you to find out some things about her." He looked at her as if she was joking and said, " that is very easy for me. You know that don't you?" She replied, " sometimes the things which you think are easy turns out to be the most difficult." He rolled his eyes, he was about to connect his Hollo to the main pad to get information abt his assignment. The queen said, " you have a partner for this assignment." It was too late he had already connected his hollo. He shot an angry look to the queen, " you know I like to do my assignments alone." Only he had the authority to talk to her like that. He had earned that authority with his courage. She said," according to my knowledge, your behaviour is not appropriate as far as approaching a girl is concerned." He had to accept that fact. The only thing he knew is that girls like it when guys purchase expensive things for them. Well, he was not that type of a guy. He said," okay, so who is he?" A tiny voice spoke from near the table," we know each other buddy." And there he was a boy who is only 8 inch tall. Suddenly he grew tall and finally was a normal human size. Well it was HIS gift. " No, I don't want to work with Julian." Julian had a smirk on his face. He knew him from childhood. Suddenly he calms himself," anyways, I want this assignment to get over with." He takes his Hollo and Julian converts himself to 2 inches and sits next to his ears. As these two hurried outside, the queen knew one thing for sure.
