3. New People

After that sleeping incident in the library, Jungkook only felt more embarrassed of himself especially when he sees Chunyeong. But she would always assure him that it wasn't a big deal and everything's fine between them which helped gain Jungkook's confidence back.. somehow.

"She still hasn't noticed me that much", Jungkook complained with a pout as he sat on the right end of the sofa. He stared at the television and started flipping the channels.

"That's what you think", Jimin smirked and Taehyung nodded in agreement.

"She's secretly staring when she sees you..", Hoseok trailed.

"Huh? What do you mean? Wait, is she mad at me?!", Jungkook asked in terror.

"Let me finish! She's staring blankly at you everytime she sees you bowing at the other girls greeting you at school", Hoseok explained.

"But why? And what does that supposed to mean?", Jungkook asked and Hoseok shrugged because he have no idea.

"Maybe because you can't even greet her normally without getting shy or flustered but when it comes to others you can?", Namjoon guessed.

"Or maybe she's jealous?" All heads turned to Jin who just came out of the kitchen after washing all the dishes. Jungkook looked at him innocently waiting for him to explain what he meant.

"Based on my experience, Lara gives me the same look when I talk to our fans in school meaning she's getting jealous. And it so happens that Lara and Chunyeong are cousins, maybe it runs in their blood. But that's only a theory", Jin explained and all of them were staring at him in pure awe with their mouths agape. Yoongi was the first to recover, clapping his hands in a slow manner.

"That.. was the most sensible thing you have said ever since the day you started speaking." Jin looked at him in confusion, not knowing whether that's a compliment or an insult.

"Why won't we try to make her jealous then?", Namjoon suggested. "Let's see if she'll finally notice you or might as well confess to Jungkook that she actually has feelings for him."

"Yeah! Let's do that!", Taehyung exclaimed while shaking Jungkook on his arm.

"But who will be the girl to act as his girlfriend or something?", Hoseok asked.

"No girl won't go crazy if they knew that they'll pretend to be Jungkook's girlfriend", Taehyung said and all their shoulders dropped in hopelessness.

"Why not one of you pretend to be a girl and at the same time act as Jungkook's girlfriend?", Yoongi asked while pointing a lazy finger at them. Jin smiled.

"I think I know just the perfect guy for that idea of yours, Yoongi."

"What. The. Actual. Fu--"

"Yah, stop cursing!", Jin said, covering Yoongi's mouth. He pushed away Jin's hand and showed him a death glare.

"I can't do this! Have you really lost your brains somewhere?!", Yoongi exclaimed, catching the attention of the other people around them.

"Hyung, please calm down..", Jungkook pleaded in a soft voice, bowing his head as he held Yoongi's right shoulder. His hyung looked at him in disbelief.

"Calm down? CALM DOWN?! How the hell do you think can I fucking calm down when I'm in this freakin' pink princess shit dress with a Mario print on the middle?!", Yoongi exclaimed as he pulled his shoulder length black hair in frustration. Jin swatted Yoongi's hands off his head telling him to stop messing up his wig.

"I can't wait any longer while wearing this dress, okay?! 'm tellin you, shitheads, I'm going home--"

"Hyung~! Let's take a selfie~!", Jimin cooed, encircling his arms on his hyung's shoulder, distracting Yoongi on the process as they waited for their classmates/friends/girlfriends who will bring Chunyeong along with them in the mall. The plan is, Jungkook will pretend he didn't know that Chunyeong will be there and try to make her jealous with Yoongi dressed as a girl. The members forced Yoongi to play the role because they think, he haven't done anything to help the maknae.

"Aren't the girls coming yet?", Hoseok asked Namjoon who's busy typing something on his phone. "Jungkook's getting nervous here."

"N-No, I'm not! I-I'm cool, hyung", Jungkook stuttered as he kept walking back and forth while biting his lower lip. But in reality, he wants to cry for three reasons: his Yoongi hyung is so pissed off right now, he's getting more nervous as time pass by and lastly, because of Chunyeong.

"They'll be here any minute now. Let's just wait a bit more--"

"THEY'RE HERE!", Taehyung yelled making Jungkook frozen on his position. There he saw Chunyeong with his other classmates, chatting and laughing with each other. That sight already made his heart beat rapidly against his chest.

"Stop staring and do your thing, Kookie", Jimin whispered and pushed Yoongi against Jungkook's chest. Jungkook instinctively wrapped his arms on Yoongi to support his hyung.

"Why you little shi--"

"Hey guys! Who's the new girl?", Chunyeong asked the moment she reached them, a forced smile on her lips as she stare at Yoongi in curiousity.

"W-Well, she's--"

"I'm Yoonji, Kookie's GIRL friend. Nice to meet you", Yoongi smiled sweetly in a girly voice, leaning his head against Jungkook's chest. Chunyeong then looked at Jungkook as if waiting for him to say something. Jungkook pulled Yoongi closer to him awkwardly and nodded.

"Y-Yeah, she's my friend who happens to be a girl." Chunyeong nodded in acknowledgement but won't take her eyes off of Yoongi. She thinks Yoonji seems familiar, she just can't lay a finger where she saw her. An arm suddenly draped around Chunyeong's shoulders, interrupting her staring game with Yoongi.

"Hey, baby girl!", the guy beside Chunyeong greeted her. Chunyeong's eyes widen when she saw who it was, a wide happy smile appeared on her lips.

"Chen oppa!" Jungkook's eyes narrowed in to slits hearing the word 'oppa', his brows furrowing when Chen hugged Chunyeong tight in his arms. Chunyeong and Chen then started chatting with each other, already trapped in their own bubble. Jungkook's hand tightened around Yoongi's arm so the older coughed in an exaggerating manner, catching everybody's attention.

"Oh, umm, Chen oppa, they're my classmates!", Chunyeong introduced everyone while still hugging the guy. Her classmates all have unsure smiles on their faces as everyone of them took a glance on Jungkook who haven't made a move ever since Chen suddenly appeared like a mushroom. "Then there's Jungkook and his friend, Yoonji."

"Hey there, I'm Chen", he smiled in a friendly way, offering his hand for a shake. Jungkook only stood there with an evident frown on his face, glaring at Chen who seems to be not affected. So Yoongi accepted Chen's hand instead.

"Nice to meet you--", Yoongi's words were caught in his throat when Chen suddenly pulled him closer and kissed the back of his hand.

"Hello there, pretty lady", Chen winked and Yoongi wanted to throw up in that very instant if he wasn't just a girl that time. A hand pulled Yoongi's wrist out of Chen's grasp.

"Okay, enough with the introduction", Jimin smiled with a dangerous glint in his eyes. Chen smirked and raised both his hands in the air as if he's giving up.

"By the way, I would like to take Chunyeong with me for some catching up if it's okay--"

"It's not okay!", Jungkook interrupted which earned everyone's attentuon. He wanted to push his Yoongi hyung aside and pull Chunyeong to him, kicking Chen out of the place but he can't. He doesn't have enough courage to do it. Instead, he cleared his throat and avoided their questioning looks. "I-I mean, she's with us."

"I guess I'll have to pass today", Chunyeong shrugged, not seeing Jungkook's crestfallen face. "I'm sorry, guys. I'll make it all up to you next time."

Most of them said it's okay, some of them made Chunyeong promise that it'll be her treat on their next group date which she only laughed at, while Jungkook only stared at her retreating figure with a guy holding her close to him.

"I've done my part, let's eat lamb skewers!", Yoongi annouced as he lead the way while flipping his shoulder length wig gracefully as if it's his own hair. Jimin clung to his arm like a koala and smiled cheekily at him.

"Lemme be your date, pretty lady~", Jimin teased with a wink, copying Chen's compliment on him. He earned a harsh push from Yoongi and two middle fingers raised at him with a mutter of 'Fuck you!'.

"You guys go ahead. I'll just take a walk for a while", Jungkook mumbled, immediately turning around, almost running his way out of the mall, ignoring his members and classmates call.
