You are in your local Hot Topic when a tall figure bumps into you. You look up at the boy, and then realize it's Dan. It has been a month since your breakup with him, and after crying for a few days you were over him. Or so you thought.
"Sor-" He starts to apologize, but the realizes it's you. "Oh, um.... Hi (Y/N). How have you been?" He looks down at you. You just stand there awkwardly for a second and stare at him.
"I'm good... but I better be going." You say, and after he waves goodbye you pay for your stuff and leave. The whole ride home all you can think about is Dan. You begin to wonder if he ever thinks about you, like you think about him. No, you remind yourself. You broke up with him! You need to let it go. After about an hour you find yourself stalking his YouTube channel and watching all of his new videos.
After that you check his Twitter to see what he has been doing. There was one tweet in particular that stood out to you. It was one he tweeted a few days after you broke up.
Hey internet. I won't be posting a video or doing a live show this week, for personal reasons. Sorry!
Did he actually care about your relationship? You had figured he wouldn't even care you broke up with him. He didn't need you, he had millions of fans, a radio show, and he was an attractive guy.
That night at about three in the morning you wake to the sound of somebody pounding on your door. You get up and open it, and you are practically knocked back by the boy kissing you. You pull away and see that it is Dan.
"What the H***?!" You yell at him. It's hard for you to not kiss him again though. His eyes look so pretty in the moonlight coming in through the window.
"I- I'm so sorry... I don't know what came over me... I just came here to talk to you and-" But before Dan can finish you start kissing him again. After kissing for a minute Dan pulls away.
"I don't understand. Why did you even break up with me? I can't live with not knowing anymore." He says looking straight into your eyes.
"It's just... You have so many fans. Some of them are so pretty. You could be with any of them, and you chose me?" By now you are crying. "I couldn't stop comparing myself to your fans. I couldn't stop comparing myself to you either. You are way better looking than me, and I couldn't stop thinking about how much better you could do, so I ended it."
"You're right, I do have a lot of beautiful fans, but none of them are as beautiful as you. I chose you for a reason, and that's because..." Dan pauses for a moment and thinks. "That's because I love you."
