In Mareritt

Mareritt. The land where no one can succeed, because I'm too power hungry to let anyone else control anything.

Mareritt is a place where people go to sleep. Forever. It's not sleep in the sense that you're thinking. It's literal sleep, not death.

What is it like there? You're in a constant dream state, but you seem conscious to yourself. You're also able to move around. Basically, everyone can be going about their day, but each person is having a unique experience. If someone else is near you, you'll see them in your dream. Say someone is walking down a dirt road in their dream, and someone else is being chased by a monster. If they ever are near each other, the person walking can be knocked over, pushed, tripped, etc.. As soon as an interaction between dreams happens, each persons dream changes. If a bunch of people are near, you'll get weird five second dreams. In reality, Mareritt is a giant blank facility holding mental and criminal people, to keep an eye on them. WE, the people in charge, are able to control what you see once you enter, but are likely to let you let you have your own imagination. Most people that come to visit think it's just a giant field with "special hallucinative vegetation." That's just how we make it appear to them when they come in before they think you're asleep. You pass the border, you fall asleep. We program what you're seeing, (with electronics in the control room before we let you loose). That's what makes everyone think of Mareritt as a field. The best part? Or maybe the worst.. You can't leave, because you won't know you're even there.
