"What do you think I should wear to the party of tomorrow night?" Kendall asked searching threw her closet. Tomorrow's Friday, and after the first week of school, someone always throws a huge blowout party!

"Something cute, obviously!" I laughed standed up and helping her choose an outfit.

"Who's throwing it this year?" I asked looking through her dresses.

"Erm, Harry Styles." She smirked trying not to laugh, knowing that I hate that guy.

"Great, I'm not going now." I murmmered.

"Oh, come on Lauren! There'll be a ton of people. You won't even see him." She pleaded. I shook my head.

"You don't no that. Besides, he invited me so I'm sure he'd be looking." I mummbled the last part.

"He invited you?!" She smirked. "He totally likes you."

"No he doesn't. Besides you said it yourself. He's the school's bad boy. He's clearly a player and an asshole. I don't want to be in a relationship with that."  I groaned and collasped on her bed.

"Maybe it could just be a fling." she shrugged.

"Are you giving me permission to have sex with him?!" I basically shouted shocked.

"I don't know maybe. You can be so uptight, and I think a guy might change that. Loosening up is a good thing, that's all I'm saying." She shrugged.

"Well, you can keep saying that, because I'm not getting involved with him." I spat then rushed out of her house, pissed off. After hopping into my car, I pulled out of the drive way and headed home. Am I really uptight?

I shook all the thoughts out of my head, and drove home. As I walked up my front porch steps, I already heard yelling. After I slammed the door shut behind me, my parents went silent.

"Did you have a good first day of school, sweetheart?" My dad asked like nothing had happened.

"I don't know. Did you have a good time arguing with mum?" I snapped. Before turning around and started to walk up the stairs.

"Lauren Elizabeth Collins! Get back here right now!" My father yelled.

"Why? So you can yell at me too! I know what you did to split this family apart! You think Jackson and I are so oblivious to everything going on between you two. But we aren't!" I shouted.

"I know you cheated on mom." I cried out. They stayed silent. I just shook my head and ran upstairs to my room. I slammed my door shut and sunk down to the floor with my back against my bed frame crying.

"Lauren?" My brother slowly opened my door.

"Jackson, hey." I softly smiled wiping away the tears.

"You don't have to act tough for me. I can handle this." He comforted. I rested my head on his shoulder.

"Dad left." He sighed. "For good this time."

"What about mom? Is she alright?" I asked concerned.

"Yeah, I told her to take the weekend and go to a spa and relax. She needs a calm place right now. And being here isn't gonna do it." He explained.

"That was really nice of you." I looked up at my little bro.

"You're growing up so fast!" I hugged him from the side.

"Oh shut up." He chuckled.

"Thanks Jackson, though. You were strong when I clearly couldn't be." I smiled at him.
