Hey

For no reason at all lol, enjoy.

"I can't believe you are really leaving for the summer," my best friend Amanda said as I shoved more cloths into my suitcase.

"I know, I am so sorry but my parents didn't tell me I was going until yesterday and today is Sunday. Tomorrow is the last day of school," I say frowning as I imagined my boyfriend's reaction.

"What do you think Mark will say?" she asked as if reading my mind.

"He will probably be sad. But I will call him every night," I say.

"What about me?" she says pouting.

"You too, don't worry," I say laughing.

She laughs too as she sits down beside me on my soft blue blanket.

"Where are you going again?" she asks curiously.

"My grandma's house in Texas," I say.

"Wow, that's a lot different than Miami, Florida," she says gaping.

"I know but who cares I mean, she is my grandma and I haven't seen her since I was nine," I say.

"That's not that long," she says.

"Amy, I am sixteen," I say laughing.

"True, that's only seven years," she says seriously.

"But she is family so technically twice as long. I miss her," I say as I finish stuffing my suitcase.

"How long will you be gone?" she said as her voice quavered.

"All summer," I say sadly.

"Oh," she says getting quiet.

"Oh, come on don't be like that," I say.

She looks at her phone and turns back to me with a sad look on her face.

"I got to go. My mom said to be home before 7:00,"she says rushing out of my door.

"Okay then," I say zipping up my suitcase and lying it on the floor.

I took out my phone and looked at the time.

5:03....figures.

I decided I should probably tell Mark about my summer plans.

I went to my contacts and clicked on his adorable little contact picture which led to hic number.

I clicked the call button, pushed my phone to my ear, and waited as it rang three times.

"Hey," Mark said.

"Hi Marky. I have some good and bad news," I said.

"Me too," he said.

"Okay, you go first," I say trying to avoid telling him.

"Uh, both of my things are good for me and bad for you," he says.

"Okay," I said trailing off at the end.

"I think we should brake up. I met someone," he said.

"Oh," I say.

"Ya, so what was your news?" he asks.

"Oh, right. I am going to my grandma's house for the summer," I said sadly.

"What's the good news?" he asks.

"I get to see my grandma after seven years," I say.

"Oh, well I am happy for you. And we can still be friends right?" he asks.

"Ya...sure," I say as I feel my eyes flood with tears.

"Cool," he says.

"ya," I say awkwardly, desperately wanting out of this conversation.

"Bye then," he says.

"Bye Mark," I say.

I hear the beep and throw my phone on my bed.

Me and Mark have been dating for three years. Since I was thirteen. He was my first boyfriend. I think he might have been cheating on me now that I think of it. The looks that girls would give him when we passed by. The way he used to say he was busy when I knew he wasn't.

I wasn't good enough for him I guess. He must not have been satisfied with me. even though I have millions of friends and I was always supportive of all his choices.

I walk out of my room, not wanting to see the pictures of him I have hanging on my wall.

"Hey sweety, ready for the last day of school tomorrow?" she asks.

"Whatever," I say brushing passed her.

"Okay then," she says.

Me and my mom are actually a lot alike.

I walk into the bathroom and through my long brown hair into a messy bun and brush my teeth.

When I walked out of the bathroom my mom was cleaning up the kitchen.

"Dinner's ready," she said when she saw me.

"I don't feel like eating," I lie.

"I know you are not serious," she says to me.

"Okay, you caught me. I am starving to death.

I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a plate. It was covered in spaghetti and meatballs.

"Thanks mom," I say walking into the dinning room and sitting down.

"Okay, honey. I have some bad news," she says.

"Okay whatever. What is it?"I ask wanting to get this over with.

"Me and your father are getting a divorce. That's why you are going to your ga=grandma's this summer. We didn't want you to be here while we were separating everything," she says.

"Great," I say before stuffing my face with pasta.

"Okay then," my mom says.

When I finish my food I take a shower and go to bed not feeling very energetic.

I fall asleep after about ten minutes.
