I woke up to Ade softly whimpering and twitching like mad in her sleep.
"Adelynne! Wake up!" I said, pulling her into me. She woke up, crying and hysterical.
"What's wrong? What happened?" She just shook her head, sobbing into me. Mara stirred awake, and looked over for a few seconds, her face a mix of processing what was happening. All of a sudden she got up and was in front of his asking her the same thing I had been.
"Ade, baby, what's wrong? Bad dream?" Adelynne nodded, and pulled her best friend close.
"She got in my head, and she won't leave. She told me we won't last long. She said she was gonna make me watch her kill you all." Adelynne sobbed. I felt white hot rage build up inside me. Why? What did Adelynne ever do? Shes so... Pure. And happy. And she doesn't even like killing spiders.
I stood, Adelynne having moved in Mara's lap and stomped a little ways into the trees.
"What the fuck do you want from us?! We didn't do anything! Especially not her! Why don't you just go fuck yourself and get lost." All of a sudden I felt something grab my ankle. I looked down only to see her grimacing up at me. I kicked as hard as I could kick, sending her flying back with a shriek. I picked up a small log, and ran after her. I reached where she landed, and began to strike as hard as I could.

--------------Adelynne's POV------------

I heard him yell, and then I heard something being hit.
"Chris! Come back!" I yelled. "It's not worth it." I sobbed.
He came out of the trees, covered in.... Whatever he was covered in. It looked like grime and blood and blue icky stuff mixed together.
"What the hell did you do?" Marra said, incredulous.
"She grabbed me." He shrugged it off, looking at the mess on his leg.
"That is absolutely putrid Chris." I stood up, wrinkling my nose, sniffing one last time. "Come on."
"Where are you going?" Jeff asked, raising an eyebrow.
I looked at him. "To find some water so this one can clean off. You two, are gonna stay here. Here, " I handed them my sword. I bent over and picked up some of the toiletries I grabbed, and some clothes that would fit Chris.
We took off towards the trees, to a spot I thought I had heard water. Behind me I heard Jeff ask Marra if I was always so bossy and I laughed a little.
We tracked along, me leading, and Chris not say in anything, the smell wafting all around us.
"Did you just like.. Stomp her face in?" I asked, curious.
He made a face like yeah kind of, before nodding. "Basically. I didn't want her hurting you anymore. And her hands are scary looking." He said, making a slight puppy dog face. I rolls my eyes smiling. Idiot.
Just then I heard it- water. I smiled and began walking faster until we came to a spot where there was a water fall and a basin at the bottom, creative a pool. I smiled.
"Bam. Water." I looked at him, and watched as he went to stick his leg into the water.
"No, no, no. " I pulled out an empty water bottle. "You are not ruining my chance to go swimming." I began filling up the bottle, and pouring it slowly over his pant leg and shoe.
"I trust you can get the bit underneath your clothing? I wouldn't want to undress you yet- its unclassy. I haven't even taken you out to dinner yet." I looked at him and he busted out laughing.
He nodded and stood beginning to take his pants off. I blushed and turned away. He continued rinsing before I heard him clear his throat to get my attention.
"Yes?" I didn't turn.
"I need the soap.."
I dug it out and held it behind me where he was and I heard him snicker a little as he grabbed the bottle. I sighed and walked off a little to a part of the pool that was secluded and out of his view. I wanted to bathe, since I had the chance.
I slowly stripped, humming to myself. I looked down at my pale body.

Fucking shit I'm white.
I dug out another bottle of wash and lathered up my body, dipping my hands into the water, not yet getting in.
When I was sure I was covered in bubbles, and not just my pale skin reflecting the moonlight, I waded into the water, cringing slightly at the feeling of mud under my feet.
I watched as the bubbles dissipated into the water, floating off and disappearing. When the water reached my chest I dipped my whole body under, getting my hair wet. I got the shampoo and lathered it up, enjoy I the feeling.
I rinsed it out and put a generous amount of conditioner into my mess of tangles, and worked them all out before putting my hair into a bun, letting the conditioner sit in my hair.
I hummed and waded in the water, looking at the nature around me. The moonlight, and the way it reflected off the water in front of me. The trees, and the soft light of lightning bugs floating around them. Why couldn't I appreciate this more before the end of the world?
Just then I heard the crack of a twig being snapped and I turned without covering myself, to see Chris, ducking behind the tree he had been peeking around.
"Chris! I already saw you, you might as well come out." He peeked again and covered his eyes, his face turning red.
"You're uhm... Exposed still." I gasped and immediately dipped into the water, covering my bare breasts.
"Okay, you're good." I blushed dark, and pressed my lips together.
