Chapter 1: the change part 1
"Tang!" she screamed as I looked at her while panting, gigantic purple taupe eyes staring back at me. The look on her bird like face looked furious as I watched her, and then her small black beak opened again, apparently telling me something I really didn't want to here at this particular moment. "Let him go! We have finished the mission. Now let's go back to camp. Bell is waiting for us."
I took one last look at the guy who was looking at me in fear with pain in his eyes. I could smell the blood draining from his neck and pouring onto my sharp black claws wrapped around his throat. My tail was trailing back and forth, furiously until I moved it toward his neck and wiped the thick dark blood from my hands and moved my thick tail towards my mouth to lick the salty thick liquid. I wanted to kill him then. The taste of the blood was almost unbearable, but I knew the little girl that appeared in my mind wouldn't have liked that. Thinking of hurting her in this manner would never come across my mind. But I haven't eaten in weeks. Not sticking to my natural diet was a pain, and it was making me week. I was only doing it for the girl that knew me as a father. "Bell" I whispered as my short black mane blew in the afternoon breeze. I quickly jumped off of his chest, and did a back flip away from the target. Leaving him there to surely die without the medical attention he needed. I walked slowly toward the elegant wise old woman ahead of me who was wearing a teal blouse tan cargo Capri's and some sort of brown sandles. I gave her a quick glance, and walked passed her shoulder, brushing against her gigantic white wings that were lightly folded on her back. I felt her last gaze upon me, and I walked through the high green grass that was illuminated by the full moons light underneath the bright stars in the late setting sky. I heard heavy flapping of wings and saw a faint purple light brighten and then quickly dim. I turned around to find the once elegant woman now a beautiful snow white owl. But this was no ordinary looking owl. The owl was much larger than most. The wings were much wider, and bigger than any bird known to man. And her purple taupe eyes were huge on her gigantic circular face. Starring at me with no expression, her head slightly tilted to the right until she took a powerful leap and was off the ground leaving a powerful breeze that made the surrounding plants blow in the opposite direction. As I looked up she was soaring high in the sky, covering the waxing moon as she glided above the trees in the direction I was headed. Instead of walking, I decided to let the inner animal come alive within me. At that thought, I thought of the animal that was trapped inside my body. Pins and needles filled me from head to toe; my heart rate was climbing to an astonishing speed, My heart burned for a powerful urge, Similar to the need of getting away, and heat flew throughout my body, Almost as if I was being burned alive. With a powerful roar, my body sparkled in a bright yellow cloak that illuminated the tall green grass and the nearby trees and other surroundings. The sparkles soon floated off of my body and fell slowly to the ground like dust, and bounced like a basketball on a court spreading around the surrounding areas like a mist that would soon dissolve into the grassy ground. I closed my eyes for a moment before taking off into the thick Congo Jungle where the animals were loud and alive.
*I was now in the form of a liger*
Although it was dark, I depended on my animal senses to guide me through the steamy dark jungle. Using my sense of sight, everything looked as if I was staring through a pair of strong night vision goggles. Everything was as clear as day, instead of everything taking on a color, everything was a shade of a darker but bright shade of green. Using my sense of acute hearing, I would be able to hear for miles. If the tiniest twig broke, it would sound like a branch breaking within a few feet. And using my sense of smell was a breeze. I made sure there were no animals stalking me as I made my way through the loud jungle. But thinking to myself, I wondered what kind of animal would try to take on a powerful beast like me? I am well known as the king of the jungle, but as I am also part tiger I am also the best hunter out there. Whoever dares to try to face me will have to face my wrath of hunger. I am hungry for the thrill of a kill. I haven't tasted flesh in weeks and I am ready to start hunting again. I remember my last meal. A full grown, healthy Zebra I ate at the science facility for 2 days until every last bit of him was gone. I made sure there was no meat left on his bones because I knew that was going to be the last time I would be able to eat for another month because of my duties as a military agent I had to do a couple of missions that would take me some time to accomplish. But with the help of 2 other agent's, I would be able to finish it sooner.
