Jay is a shy boy and he really has nothing to hide. If you want to know something about him all you have to do is ask, not that anybody really even cares. He is the type of person that if you bumped into him you wouldn't even notice.
Not that he cares about what people think, but he hides for a reason. Just like Victoria he has been bullied for so long that he can't even remember when the list time somebody said something nice to him was.
Jay and his family has moved around so much that just when he starts to break out of his shell he is moved to a different school. Jay has only ever had one friend, Mac, and even they don't talk that much anymore. Jay's Dad is a drunk and his mom is always at work so it just seems like all that he has ever known is abuse.
When people notice his bruises he just plays it off as an accident. Of course people know its a lie but what can they do? Interrogate him? The only person who ever asked him what actually was happening was Victoria, and Jay was glad somebody finally saw through the lie
