RICK'S P.O.V

After i took Victoria into my arms i realized what i did and took the smallest baby step away from here. I sneaked a peek at her and she looked so frightened that i backed up quickly.

"Wh...What did I do? Oh god I'm sorry did i scare you or something? Please forgive me!" I was about to bawl i was so afraid i had done something wrong.

"Alpha! You did nothing wrong, i promise you that. Its just she was almost raped by someone from the last pack."

Hearing that snapped me out of my current state. Someone dared to try and harm my mate? I would not stand for it!

"Who tried to do this? What pack do they belong to? Tell me!"

"Rick! Stop yelling your scaring your mate!" Ben who i forgot was there told me. That made me stop, rethink things and say

"Forgive me Mr. and Mrs. Wolves." I took a deep breath and looked at Victoria again and spoke " Please forgive me Victoria i did not mean to scare you. Its just its been 2 years without a mate and to finally find her, you, is over whelming."

She spoke in this quite little voice. "Its ok Alpha I'm just still in shock from what... what happened."

"Please as my mate call me Rick. And i understand i will give you time to adjust to the mate thing and recover from the incident." It pained me to see her like that but i didn't know what to do.

"Al.. Rick? Can... Can you just hold me? I feel safe when I'm near you." She blushed hard and it was the cutest thing i had ever seem.

"Sure. No problem anything for you Vicky. Can i call you that?" I ask while looking at her parents for permission and after getting a nod from the dad i pull her into my arms. She whispers

"Its ok if you call me Vicky." I look at her parents using my eyes to ask if dinner was ready.

"Oh yes dinner well time to eat kids." Said Sally. Jack just stood to the side shocked at what just went down. But never less ran into the dining room to sit and get ready to eat.

TIME SKIP 'TWO HOURS'

Dinner went smoothly, with me sitting next to Vicky and holding her most of dinner. Afterwards we went back to the living room and watched sports with Vicky still in my arms. We invited Jack to come over sometime and hang with us.

I checked my watch and saw it was almost 7 o'clock. I stood up and using the mind link told Ben "Dude we have to go."

"What why man? Whats wrong?"

" I want to find out about Vicky's past and the incident."

"Oh ok well lets go then."

I stopped talking to Ben and told the Wolves family that we had to be going.

To say Vicky took it well was a understatement. She started to cry so hard i instantly felt bad

"Vicky whats wrong?"

"I 'sniffle' don't want you 'sniffle' to leave yet!"

"Fine I'll stay if its ok with your parents. And Ben i know you want to get back to Natalie so you can leave."

"Thank you Alpha. Thanks for dinner Mrs. Wolves." He said and left without waiting for a reply.

"Alpha you two can go up to her room and lay down there. Ill call your parents for you and tell them your staying the night. But NO funny business or Alpha or not I'll kill you." Sally smiled and walked away to call my rents.

I stood there completely shocked at what was just said. But i shook it off and carried Vicky upstairs bridal style while she laughed. We both settled into her bed and before either one of us fell asleep i felt her give me a kiss.
