The Glass Princess

~ Chapter 2 ~

      Amelia was so exited for she had never left the enchanted forest. She changed into mortal clothes and she kind of lost her balance while walking for she's not used to it. She was used of floating on her leaf board.

      After how many minutes of walking she was hungry for the first time in her life. She was looking for some place to eat until she smelled something delicious. 

       She followed that smell and she was brought into a lovely coffee shop. She sipped into her first coffee and wondered what was the funny feeling from that coffee. 

"Miss, are you alright?" asked Altair the barista. 

" I think so but I have this funny feeling after drinking this thing" Amelia replied. Altair laughed. 

" You mean coffee? Here have this sandwich, it may help. If your not used to coffee you shouldn't drink it while having an empty stomach" Altair said. 

" Oh! Silly me! Thank you sir." Amelia replied politely. 

"Altair, call me Altair. My dad owns this café. So if you come here just look for me. I'll get you some free coffee specially brewed by me."

 Amelia's heart somehow pumped faster than usual. And she realized her cheeks turned reddish. 

" Altair, I am actually new here. May I ask if you happen to know any room for rent? I am only staying here for 2 weeks." 

"Wow! What a lucky day for you, young lady." Altair said with gleaming eyes.

"Amelia. My name is Amelia." 

" We happen to have some rooms for rent upstairs. You can check out the place and see if you like it. Then I can make you coffee every morning". 

"Oh! That won't be necessary. But I would love to. Thank you!" Amelia replied in full joy.

   So Amelia found a place to stay for the next 2 weeks and someone to keep her company too.

    Since they were at the same age, the two of them got along pretty well. And soon they became good friends.

     Altair always wondered why Amelia can't walk properly. As if she was drunk, she couldn't find her balance. But he noticed that she loved music. 

    She seemed really gentle and yet mysterious for Altair. 

     Altair had an upcoming prom at their school. He wondered if Amelia would like to go with him as his date. So he asked her out.
