Chapter 5: A quick move on.
Tuesday.
Annie Puckett
How long did I cry last night? I may have slept long. I checked the wall clock and it's 9:52 am. I stood up and went infront of the mirror. I took my brush and combed my hair. Then I decided to go out and exit the room.
When I opened the door, a group hug has welcomed me.
"Annie are you alright???"
"Annie what happened to you?"
"Did you hurt yourself?"
"Are you okay?"
"Guys. Guys. I'm fine. Infact I feel great." I cut their blaberring and smiled. "So what are you going to do now?" Raine asked. "I don't know. I honestly do." I don't even know how to start again.
"Aren't you going to break it up with him?" Mandy asked. I think I really should. Break it up now. Since I'm feeling great. I really don't need him anymore. Infact, no more. No more feelings. And I'm honest. No lies. Well I guess I still have. A bit? It's hard to move on.
"Yes I am." I feel brave. I feel tough. He made my heart break and it made me who I am. He better look at me now. I'm all the way up, he'll never bring me down. I approuched the telephone and dialed his house number. 531-42-31.
I waited for the telephone to ring. Then someone picked up the phone.
"Skylar Alexander speaking." It's him. Time for the big break up. "Skylar."
"Annie?" He paused in silence until I spoke. "Sky-" then he cuts me off.
"Annie can we please talk about it?"
"Talk about what Skylar? You can't fool me now. I saw EVERYTHING. Don't mess with me."
"Annie just give me a chance to explain please. And we can talk this out."
"Okay then. Explain. Go. My friend's are listening."
"She was my cousin."
"Would cousins hold hands, make romantic jokes and kiss each others cheek?"
"No..."
"See. Your full of lies. FULL OF LIES!"
"Annie I'm sorry."
"No sorry is going to make me go back to you Sky. We're FINISHED!"
And then I dropped the phone. And sat angrily on the couch. And cover my face with my hands and started to weep. My friends patted my back and comforts me. "It's okay Annie.. We're still here for you." Camille said.
"Ye I guess." I said and wiped my nose. "Come on. Let's eat." Laila said.
I did as said and followed them to the dining room. I sat down and waited for my plate to be filled with food.
"What's for breakfast?" Laila asked.
"Sweeten Fried Chicken!" Angie said. "HURA!" They yelled. "Hey... Annie.. you can't look like that infront of your food. It's very disrespectful." Mandy said.
"Give us a smile. I don't like it when your not happy." Rebecca said.
I gave them a small smile. And dropped my happy smile into a sad expression again. "Go on. Eat. Maybe that'll make you feel alot better." Raine suggests. I took my fork and ate like everyone. Except for Casey. She isn't here. "That's my girl." Mandy said.
"Oh shoot. Guys I have to change." Rebecca says taking a look at the wall clock. "Change for what?" I asked.
"My parents and I will be going out." Ohhh.. Family reunion I guess. "Sorry for the inturuption." Then she ran in a flash to they're room.
