Renee's POV:
The moon was full and glowing. I had an urge to howl to my loved ones that had joined the moon later that day. So I let out a howl with a heartfelt tone. Tears fell from my eyes, and I jumped out of the tree and ran ....until I couldn't run anymore. Connor ran out and picked me up and carried me inside and to his room. ¨They're all gone¨ I cried. "Who?" Conner asked. "My pack..... M-my family" I said quietly. I grabbed ahold of Connor tightly and buried my face in his chest. "Hey, it's ok. I promise." said Connor. "Really?" I said as I looked up at him. "Yeah, really. Now, it's late and we have things to do tomorrow. So let's go to bed." "Where will I sleep, Connor?" He looked at me and said, "Hmmm..... For now you can sleep with me. Ok?" "Ok" I said.
Connor's POV:
I laid down in my bed and started to fall asleep when Renee grabbed me and pulled me close. "Is something wrong wildflower?" I said. "No. I just feel safer this way." she said as she cuddled up next to me. A few minutes later we fell asleep. I had the weirdest dream that I've never had before.
