Stampy was organizing and playing around in a couple of boxes that he had found lying around in his closet. He noticed a box that was labeled, "Pictures" and carefully took it down. He sat down on his bed, sitting the item next to him and opening the dust covered box. A smile immediately lit up his face and he began digging through the box of old pictures of Lee and him.
He pulled out a picture of the two when they were younger, their faces were pressed together adorably to both be in the picture. Stampy was giving Lee bunny ears while Lee flashed the peace sign.
Stampy chuckled, remembering the day that it happened.
"Hey, Lee-Bear! Do you wanna take a picture?" Stampy asked, holding up a camera. Lee smiled and nodded, running over. Stampy chuckled and aimed the camera selfie style at both of them, making the two get close together. Stampy sneakily put bunny ears over Lee's head and Lee held up the peace sign with his two fingers.
Stampy smiled widely and snapped the picture.
Stampy sighed at the good memory, but then he found a DVD and confusedly picked it up, it was tilted: Disc 3
He popped it into his DVD player that he rarely used and sat back.
Stampy chuckled softly as he walked slowly to a chair that had a sleeping baby bear in it, curled up and looking comfortable.
"Look how adorable he is..." He whispered. "When he gets older, I'm gonna show him this tape so he knows how cute he was, and probably still is." He said.
Stampy chuckled at the disc, remembering recording that. He dug through the box again and pulled out a book with tons of pictures inside.
He found one of him, Squid, and Lee together after working really hard.
Stampy ran inside to grab his camera, then came back outside. "Squid, Lee!! C'mere!" He said. The two came over and saw the camera. "Yeah?" They asked. "Wanna take a picture?" Stampy smiled and held up the camera suggestively.
They chuckled and nodded, leading to a great picture of the three friends.
Stampy smiled and flipped through some more pages. He kept finding great pictures, until he stumbled upon the picture they used for Lee's funeral.
Stampy's smile slowly dropped as he saw it, still staring at his friend's big blue eyes. He'll never forget the life that was bouncing around so joyfully in them, and he most certainly won't forget the death brought upon them when he saw them for the last time.
Stampy didn't look away from the picture until he realized his vision was getting blurry from the tears that were welling up in his eyes. He looked away and blinked, letting them roll down his fuzzy cheeks.
It had been 8 months since that day, and he will never forget it.
"STAMPY!" Lee called out, running to the cat who was on his knees after being struck by HTT. Stampy looked up and saw that his friend was standing in front of him, an awful sound filled the room they were in as Hit's sword went threw Lee's chest. Stampy's eyes widened and it all felt as if it where in slow motion. He turned to look at Hit's face, and even he looked surprised.
Stampy was frozen until Hit released Lee from the sword, making him fall to his side, warm blood pooling around him. Stampy glared up at Hit, then stood, rage filling his entire being as he stabbed his sword threw his chest, the same way he had done to Lee. Hit gasped out for air and tried to hit Stampy back, but he failed and disappeared into a cloud of white smoke.
Stampy then looked down at his friend, going on his knees and gently touching Lee's shoulder to see if he was alive. He didn't feel him move or wince, something that he had wanted oh so dearly to feel. He looked at Lee's eyes, glazed and half-lidded.
Stampy started to breathe heavily, trying not to cry. "L-Lee...?" He whispered to him, he gently moved him so that he was laying on his back, one knee bent upwards while a hand lay on his stomach.
Stampy bit his lip and realized he had no pulse, that's when the tears came. He started to cry, trying to keep it together, though. That didn't last long as then he started to quietly sob into his hand, blaming himself as he could have saved him if he tried hard enough.
"Lee-Bear...I-I'm so so sorry..." He sobbed, tears hitting the ground below. "I could have saved you..." He whispered, now filled with intense grief. He didn't know how he would tell the others. He didn't know when the funeral would be. He didn't know why this had to happen. Lee had done nothing wrong but threw his life on the line for him.
A couple of days after the incident, they had the funeral, which was only about 20 minutes. Stampy was the first to speak, he was obviously upset, as everyone was in the room.
"I...I remember the first time Lee had gotten hurt trying to protect me, I asked him why he would do it but all he said was, "I will protect you with my life", then gave me a hug," He started to tear up. "I didn't realize one day it would really come true..." He said, tears pouring down his face.
Everyone started crying. Stampy wiped his tears. "Lee wouldn't want this, he wouldn't want us all to be sad, he wouldn't want us to cry, he always wanted everyone to be happy no matter what, and I can't believe he did that...he was my best friend, and still is, up there..." He said, then everyone else got a chance to speak.
Amy went up next. "It was so rare to never see Lee without a smile on his face, and that's part of the reason we all had smiles on our faces, he was a great friend and wouldn't let anything hurt us, sometimes I think he would go a little too far...like now...I understand he was trying to protect Stampy, but I only wish it hadn't of resulted like this..." She said.
Next up was Squid, who didn't even have his party hat on for this one.
"Ah...I don't know where to start...Leematoad was a great friend, he was such an amazing builder and protector, Stampy was right, he wouldn't of wanted us to cry, but now he's watching down on us from heaven, hopefully he enjoys it up there, and one day we'll all see him again, but I know that he'll still be watching over and protecting us, every step we take..."
Stampy remembered so vividly what happened on those days, every single word anyone said, he honestly wished he wouldn't remember, but he was still caught up in the past.
He would never forget Lee, and Lee would never forget him.
