It's been two days since the war had finished. Edo was destroyed, many people had died both aliens and samurais. Gintoki, together with his friends has successfully killed Utsuro together with the memories of their sensei. and after the war both harusame and kiheitai fled to space with their promise to come back after their troops have recovered. But after all the disaster that happened it also brought a big hearth ache to the yorozuya. two days they tried to find their only heroine, Kagura. together with the war she disappeared, neither umibozu or the yorozuya knows where she is. they suspected her to be under the terminal that was destroyed after thee battle. and because of that they endlessly searched for her hopping to find her under those concrete and metals.   

mean while the shinsengumi was sent back to edo after being exiled by the shogun after the shogun assassination arc. They are tasked to guide the citizens and find relocation for them while the city was being fixed. all of them are excited to go back home but still scared to go back. they are ashamed and afraid because they didn't do anything while their city, no their home was being destroyed by someone. but their is a certain person who is not excited nor afraid to go back, he is yearning. Yearning to go home to see someone. someone who was there while he was in darkness. they promised one another to never lose to anyone and when they meet again they will be much stronger. after all the months that passed the shinsengumi never heard anything. Their commander never said anything,  maybe if theirs something to fear about maybe it is the possibility that no one will greet him welcome back while holding a purple umbrella and smiling to him.

"Yosh! were almost their! Shinsengumi! I only have one rule and command to give you all and that is to smile. do not help anyone with out a smile on your faces. Its already been hard for them the only thing you can do is to show positivity. Okay!" said their ever heart harming-stalking-eating banana-gorilla, commander Isao Kondo.

"Gorilla -san, can i kill mayora with a smile on my face?" said sougo while trying to murder their vice commander. "haha! Its seems that were starting to be us again huh. but anyways you can do that later sougo. I have a different job for you." hearing that sougo stopped killing hijikata and listened to kondo. "what is it kondo-san? need more bananas?" asked sougo. " yes, but thats not the job i have for you. hijikata-san will do that." said kondo pointing to hijikata lying on the ground tide up with tape on his mouth. " then what is my job?" confused sougo asked. "well actually im the one who is tasked to do the job but I find it much suitable for you. you will help the yorozuya tofind someone in the main terminal. i don't know who tht someone is but it seems like it's important i will send Hijikata after you after he bought my banannas." answered Kondo. hearing the task sougo has once again is lost in his thoughts. yorozuya? will i see her again? what will i do when i saw her? hug her or Punch her? who are we trying to find? uhggggg so many questions but  no answers!.  "okay just like said guys smile we are here!!!"

with smile on their faces they walked outside the ship. hijikata saw otae waiting outside . approaching  her still with smile on his face with kondo and the rest of the shinsengumi behind them. "otae !!!! lonng time no see!!! missed you so much!"  said kondo while he jumped and tried to kiss otae but just like always he failed. and just always he got punched on the face "oh hello kondo -san nice to see you again i thought i told you not to act like a creepy stalker. not just you but why are all the shinsengumi acting like a stalker smiling like that." said otae smilling to the point her eyes are closed."gomen gomen otea-san we thought that we could at least smile so that wee could at least make the air more comfortable." YOU ARE THE ONES WHOSE MAKING THE AIR UNCOMFORTABLE BAKA!!!!!!.  " anyways otae, why are you the only one here? where are the yurozuya? i thought sougo will help them find someone?" said hijikata while lighting his  cigarette. suddenly otaes face got sad she do not know how to say it without making herself cry. "gin-san and shinpachi-kun are already at the destroyed terminal. they had stayed there for almost 3 days now not sleeping nor eating." sougo suddenly filled heavy no hearing china's name. " ummm annue where is china isn't she a part of the yorozuya too? did she fled with her father and brother?" otae finds it hard to tell him he may be a rival of kagurachan but she knows that theres more in their relationship than being rivals. "no, actually she's th one their looking for." said otae trying to keeping her tears away but still failed. the shinsengumi where shocked how can somene like her a yato be gone? is the war that serious that she may be dead? no one talked they all looked at sougo. " sou-kun will find he--" otae was trying to comfort him but filed. "so this is my job ne kondo-san?" asked sougo looking at the ground eyes covered by his hair. " i did not know that she was th--" kondo trying to explain " no its alright i got my answers right now. yes i will see her again, yes i will hug her and yes i will find her. she's not gonna die unlesss i told her to, i will kill her myself." lifted his face and they saw eyes that are gone with anger and sorrow but still filled with hope. no one dared to fool with him now. " well if thats it then go help and find her already." said hijikata while smoking his cigarette, kondo comforting crying otae raises a thumbs up. "ganbatte!!" both said together. and with that sougo ran to the terminal ( he can't do that so later he will maybe take the shinsengumi car). " ok!!!!!! shinsengumi 1st division lets go!!!" said yamazaki and lifted his  fellomans spirit. "YEAHHHHHHH!!!!!"
