Chapter 2 - Betrayal

Athena's POV

Day 1 in training finally started. After this, we will go to the god's territory, which is kind of bad because I will have to join in a war against my people. I woke up and was sent a message from Zeus telling me to go back and give their tactics. I was brought back to heaven and gave Zeus my notes.

"Good Job Athena. You have done well; you may now turn to a god now."

"Wait. WHAT!! That is it? Can I have more time?"

"No, you may not! You are a god of war Athena! Don't be deceived by those evil creatures. They want to become a god!"

"Yes Father"

Simon's POV

1st day of training! Gotta wake that bucko! Wait...why am I worrying too much about her? Why do I have this feeling?? Do I like her??.......Nah! I would never! I walked to Athena's door and knocked but it was open. I rushed inside and found a note saying that her job was done, you may go back up. But it was not just ordinary paper, it has a heavenly material. Now it was obvious, she was a scout from the gods!

"What?! What do you mean up? No, don't tell me! She was a scout by the Gods!"

I ran to the General and told him that there was a scout in our base.

"General, there was a scout from the Gods! We have to attack now! It is now or never!"

"Yes, I agree"

"My fellow men, prepare your weapons because the Gods can attack us any time!"

The soldiers ran and took all their weapons. Some were determined but others were not. They were terrified. We prepared the cannons and moved to the god's domain. There we shot a cannonball breaking the gates of heaven, opening the stairways. We rushed to the stairways and brought up our shields. As we reached the top, we froze from fear. It was a Cyclops. The Cyclops ran towards my men and killed most of them. The cannons shot again and again until we managed to hit his eye. The Cyclops fell and cried in pain. Our men celebrated and the weaker gods fled.

"Men! We are not done! We have to kill the Gods!"

We ran towards the Twelve Olympian's Gates and broke it open. The weak gods tried to stop us but they just dropped like flies. Chaos was happening. Then, we reached the Gods.

"Zeus, where are you?! How dare place a scout in my army!"

I saw Zeus and the other Gods. But one was very familiar, Athena.

"Athena! How could you! We treated you like family!"

"Sorry Simon, but I shall not risk my race just to be a servant of yours! So Goodbye!"

Athena's POV

I heard my name and saw Simon. I felt rejoiced but sad in the same time. I said everything Zeus wanted to tell me and I was brought into tears. The war began the sounds of men's bones breaking and screams was all I can hear. It was Bloodshed. The war has ended but I knew one has escaped.
