Diana
I jolted awake, feeling panic as I clenched onto my bedsheets tightly.
It was a dream. I sigh in relief.
Just a dream.
And as I laid back down on my bed, flashes of broken memories entered my mind.
Who was that woman? Why did she seem so... familiar?
White static bloomed inside my head, the noise grew louder and louder as I tried to remember.
I gripped my head as I curled into a fetal position. I willed my eyes to open as I started to take deep breathes. The noise started to gradually fade away until the static stopped.
I slowly sat up in an upright position on the bed, with my feet dangling just outside.
"Everything's fine" I said to no one in particular.
"Everything's.... Fine." I repeated, trying to reassure myself.
I closed my eyes and laid on my bed once more.
Sinking deeper down the covers as I enjoyed the oddly peaceful atmosphere in my room, all the while, trying to ignore my dream.
My ears twitched as I heard footsteps from outside the door.
I sat up hastily and readied myself in an alarmed position, grabbing the dagger hidden on my pillow.
Not a second later, the door opened and a tuft of platinum blonde hair appeared from behind door.
The body followed next, along with the... extra appandeges...
I smiled softly in relief and relaxed, discreetly dropping the weapon behind my back, while I basked on the man's calming presence.
It was my father.
He smiled brightly at my direction, his cat ears twitching, before he walked towards my bed calmly.
The matress, dipped slightly as he sat next to me.
"Morning, Diana." He greeted with a smile
"Good morning, father." I replied back, tiredly.
His smile faltered and ears drooped down, just slightly.
"You okay?" He asked in a gentle voice.
"Yeah... I guess." I muttered, while playing with my hair.
He sent a sad smile towards my direction and patted my ears.
He.r...fath.r's...bl..dline..his..powe..rs..can..he...lp...mus..t...prot...ect...the...eir..
I spaced out as my eyes flashed a darker shade, fading back to it's original color not a second later.
My head throbbed as blurred images flashed into my mind like a broken movie.
