Vampires

- Bella POV -

I was having the most amazing dream of Edward with two toddlers in his hips and he was messing about about and saying 'Quick! We have to get away from Momma.' The dream melted my heart and I was so sad when it ended but when I remembered that we have the house to ourselves today, my mood lightened.

"Morning beautiful. How was your sleep?" A velvet voiced asked. I opened my eyes and saw the Angel himself looking down at me with his liquid gold eyes.

"I was having the most amazing dream of you and the twins. I didn't and still regret waking up." I told him. He chuckled a little but leaned in for a kiss, that was until I stopped him.

"Morning breath. Let me prepare for the day then we can do that. I'll make breakfast while you get dressed, how does that sound?" He nodded his head and I started to stand when he stopped me.

"I don't care that you have morning breath." He stated and kissed me full on the lips. After a few seconds we pulled away and grinned like idiots.

"Thank you for last night. I saw how hesitant you were." I said to him.

"No problem but I have to talk to you about something today. Don't worry, it's not anything bad we just need to tell you something." My mind raced with thoughts and possibilities of what it could be.

"Ok I'm gonna make breakfast. What do you want?" I asked him.

"I'll have a big lunch later. It's quite late now." I looked at the time and saw it read 10:47. Wow. I had never slept in this late before.

"Wow. Last nights activities must have exhausted me more than I thought." I joked and we both chuckled before getting with our morning.

-After they're both ready-

Just as I walked downstairs after getting ready there was a knock on the door. Edward answered and it was his family, they all looked at me with wary faces.

"Are you coming in or is outside good for you?" I asked after a while of them just standing there.

"Oh sorry, thank you Bella." Esme said and sat down on the couch.

"What's this about?" I asked and leant against the door frame.

"Why don't you sit down first? You would probably want to after hearing this." Carlisle spoke making me even more worried now and I'm sore it shown on my face.

I sat down next to Edward and he pulled me close to him.

"Bella, have you heard of the legends about Vampires and Werewolves?" Esme asked out of the blue.

"Yes why?"

"Well, they're true and we are vampires and before you get worried, we only drink animal blood and would never even think about hurting you or the babies."

"What?" I was confused. They were vampires? But they were so nice. "Please elaborate."

"Well, first of let's start with mates because this is the information that applies most to you. You know how legends say that we're monsters and don't know love and things like that big they aren't true. We have things called mates, this is basically a strong bond of love no human could express with another. We all have mates, Emmett is Rosalie's, mine is Esme and Alice is Jaspers. Edward has been the only one without a mate for over 80 years, that was until we came here." What? Who was his mate?
