*Aiden in media*
I pull my motorcycle into the parking lot of Riverside High School and park in my usual place up front. I quickly hope off the bike, ignoring the pain in my side and swiftly walk into the building. I am the only person in the hallways and I look at the clock."Damn!" I say to myself. Its 30 past 8. I am late to class again! Fucking father had to wake up when I walked downstairs. He is the reason I'm late. He was pissed that I woke him up and beat the shit out of me again. I'm just glad my little sister, Ruby, was at a friends house for the night.
I ran over to my locker, opened it quickly, grabbed my books and ran to Math class. I walked in and closed the door quietly, going to my usual seat in the back. My teacher, Mrs. Stark, turned from the board just as I was sitting down.
"Aiden," she began, a fake smile etched on her face. "Look who's late...again."
You could say that she was one of my least favorite teachers.
"I am really sorry Mrs. Stark!" I replied, feigning sadness. "I had a family emergency and I tried hard to not be late but something happened and... ugh I just feel awful!"
"You said that every time! Now, I won't give you after school detention but you will be in detention the rest of the day. Now go before I change my mind."
I walked out of her classroom smirking, happy to be out of there. I walked down to detention (I was familiar with the room) and walked in.
"Whats up Mr.Akin?" I asked the detention teacher. He looked scary but he was a real softy. He is a pretty cool guy. He is the only teacher that knows some of my situation so he isn't to hard on me.
"Why are you in here this time Aiden?" He asked sighing.
"Late to Math again for the third time this week," I replied shrugging.
"Ah. Well go sit and do whatever. I don't care." He then picked up his book, The Odyssey, and continued reading. He absolutely loved books and was always reading.
I walked to my seat and saw my detention buddies sitting back there also.
"Hey Cortez! Santana! Ryker!" I yelled giving all three of them a high five. "What are you guys doin in here?"
"Well I unscrewed the principles chair," Cortez started, smirking. "Ryker here started a food fight at breakfast this morning, and Santana put 6 snakes in the girls locker room."
"Nice goin with the snakes S!" I hollered giving Santana a high five. I sat down and put my feet up in Ryker's lap and leaned back in my chair and fell asleep.
~~~~~AFewHoursLater~~~~~
I woke up to the slamming of a door. I popped up from my chair, startling Ryker who was also asleep. I sat up and rubbed my eyes seeing that there was a very sexy man standing in front of me smirking.
"Who the fuck are you?" I questioned groggily.
"Cole Jackson. And who might you be?" The guy questioned, raising an eyebrow.
I stood up from my seat and sized him up. He was about 6"1, with messy black hair, and gorgeous green eyes. He had the smirk of a trouble maker and the smell of a smoker. I could also see the tattoos running up his arms. He was wearing dark jeans and a tight, white shirt.
Even though I was 5"8 I still felt small compared to him and I didn't like it.
"So, your the bitch that runs the school?" He asked, also sizing me up like I did him. I wasn't wearing anything special. Just some skinny jeans, a large sweatshirt, and my black converse. My hair was down and let loose into its naturally curly way. The only time I ever wore my hair up was when I was fighting because I couldn't have anyone at school see my scars. I normally would have worn a tighter shirt but my father had made a large gash in my side and I needed something loose so I wouldn't have to worry about people seeing my bandage.
"I wouldn't say bitch, more like resident badass. And I don't 'run the school' people just know not to fuck around with me and to listen to what I say. Its common sense really." I reply, looking up at him with a dangerous gleam in my eyes.
"Ah well you see, now that I am here, you can stand back and let a real man take the job. How about you go and shop or get your nails done or something?"
When he said this I doubled over with laughter. He looked at me like I had grown 6 heads. "Why are you laughing?" He questioned, confused.
"B-because you think that just because I am a girl that I like to shop and get my nails done." I answer sobering up. "Also, you think that you are some badass who gets to walk in and take over the school. Well look buddy I am the leader around here. And if you want people to respect you, you gotta earn it." I shoved my finger in his face. His reaction was priceless. He just stood there, his mouth opening and closing like a fish.
I quickly glance over at the clock and see that it is 3:30pm.
"Fuck!" I shout, grabbing my bag and taking off down the hall before he can even say anything. I get to the parking lot and jump on my bike, racing back to the house as fast as I dare. I pull into the driveway and try to sneak in, hoping he doesn't hear me.
I quietly walk through the side door and am almost to the stairs when I hear, "Where the fuck have you been bitch?"
