"Good luck! Good Job! You'll do great!" I hear as I get ready for my gymnastics meet.
I only do floor because I'm the best at it. Some people think I'm weird because they don't know any gymnast who only does floor. Sometimes I feel left out, but I know that I'm good at gymnastics.
I stretch my ankles and wrists as I hear everyone yelling "GREAT JOB!" to a level 10 gymnast who has just finished. I look at the schedule and notice that I am right after the next gymnast. She finishes and scores an 8.9 on floor. Now, it's my turn.
I get on the blue floor. I run half way through the floor and do a round off back handspring. I stop slightly between the round off and the back handspring. I knew that that must've taken off at least .5 points. Then I do a triple back handspring. Then I do a handstand back handspring front handspring. I finish with a front flip landing in a split. I heard someone yell "you're bad at gymnastics!" went I stopped during my round off back handspring. I yelled back "NO I'M NOT!" I run to my family and ask to go home. My parent congratulate me for getting a 9.9. "WHAT?" I ask. "Really?" "Yes" "YAY!"
