You roll over, shielding your eyes from the sun. Your head was pounding and your eyes stung from crying all night again. It was way past noon, which was no surprise. You've gotten used to over sleeping. You were just about to go back to sleep when there's a knock at your door.
"Y/n?"
You recognize the voice but don't answer. They'll go away eventually.
"Y/n, we had plans to hang out today but you haven't been answering your phone. I wanted to make sure you were ok. Are you ok?"
You groan and get out of bed. You shuffle across your cold, wooden floor to your front door.
"What do you want, Taehyung?" You say peeking through the peep hole. Tae looked genuinely worried. His eye brows were furrowed and his hair a mess.
"Noona, please. What's going on? You've done nothing but reschedule our dates and now you won't talk to me. Did I do something?"
He puts his ear to the door and you sigh. You unlock the locks and peak out.
"Tae, I'm sorry I just haven't been in the mo-"
Taehyung pushes the door open and steps inside, catching you completely off guard. He looks around your apartment and then focuses his gaze on you.
"Y/n..." He says your name softly. Something about the tone of his voice and the concerned look on his face stirs something up inside you and before you could stop it, you burst into tears.
"TAEHYUNG." You whale as you fall into his arms. You grip his shirt like your life depended on it as he sweeps you up in a tight embrace. He says nothing but rather strokes your hair as you sob into his shirt, staining it with your hot tears. You cry until your voice gives out, until you can no longer feel the ache in your chest. Taehyung was your closest guy friend. He was always there when you and Hoseok argued or when you needed advice. He was always good at taking care of you when Hoseok couldn't. You hadn't realized how much you actually needed him until now. You've been avoiding him like the plague because you knew he'd ask questions. Especially if he knew Hoseok had left you.
Taehyung cups your face and kisses your forehead.
"Why must you keep your pain from me? You know I care for you." You meet his eyes and everything gets blurry again. He wipes the tears from your cheeks and pulls you back to him.
"I already know what happened. I was hoping you'd come to me. You don't have to deal with this on your own, let me help you."
You pull away from Taehyung slightly embarrassed. He's never seen you cry that hard before so standing in front of him after you had a meltdown was a little awkward.
"I know, TaeTae. I just didn't want to bug you with it because I knew you and.....and...." you couldn't even say Hoseoks name without wanting to choke.
"Because me and Hoseok hyung are close friends...I understand but still. You're my friend, too, y/n."
You nod your head and rub your eyes again. Taehyung grabs your hands and pulls them away.
"Don't rub your eyes like that it will only make them worse." He wipes the tears away and smiles down at you. "Why don't I take you out for a little bit to help ease your mind. How does that sound?"
He pokes your side causing you to smile your first smile in a whole week."Yeah that sounds nice, I guess."
"Good, because I wasn't going to take no for an answer. You owe me a proper date." He gently takes your hand and pulls you into your bedroom. "Sit down." He says pointing to your vanity stool. You sit down and look into your mirror. Your hair is a hot mess, your eyes are a bright pink due to your endless sobbing and your cheeks are a rosy red. You cover your face.
