Zoey's POV
I sat on the bench and waited for the bus to arrive. It was Thursday evening, and the streets of Sydney rushed with cars. The bus was sometimes late when there is a lot of traffic, but I didn't mind. I was the only one at the stop, so I would just play a game .on my phone. I had my small, pink dance bag at my side. I heard foot steps coming towards me. I looked up from my phone and glanced. It was a tall guy, with tattoos all over, and a gym bag, walking towards me.
He came over and stood in front of the bench. "May I sit next to you?" He asked. He had that sweet Aussie accent and a deep voice. I looked straight at him, meeting his gaze that was on me. I was amazed, his beauty struck me like lightening. My thoughts were disrupted when I heard the man say "Ma'am?", waking me from my daydreaming.
I cleared my throat silently. "I'm sorry, you may sit next to me." I said a little shy, but with a friendly smile. His smile never left his face as he sat next to me. "What were you thinking of?" He asked, "You zoned out." his head tilting, as if he was analyzing me.
"Oh, nothing." I said still staring into his gaze. I didn't want to tell him I was thinking of him, that'd be awfully awkward. The bus arrived, and we both stood up. We waited for the driver to open the doors. "Ladies first." He said when the doors opened. What a gentlemen. I smiled and nodded, then went into the bus, with him tagging along behind me.
We sat together in seat 4. I glanced behind me to look at the back of the bus. Only one other person was on, I wasn't so surprised. I looked back forward, glancing at the man once in a while. I was eager to talk to him, but I was also nervous. I kept thinking of what I could say Hi, what's your name?, Anywayyy, My name's Zoey Walker, what's yours? But they all sounded too cheesy.
"I didn't catch your name." The man said staring at me. I met his gaze, again, and replied. "Zoey Walker, you?" I asked. "John Pearce." He said with a smile. When he said his name it hit me. He was from the hottest group in Aussie, Justice Crew! Just thinking about that brought a smile to my face. I stuck out my hand so he would shake it. "Nice to meet you, John." I said still with a smile on my face.
I probably looked like a retard, but I couldn't help it. "Nice to meet you too, Zoey." He said with a smile on his face a well. He grabbed my hand then shook it, and then we let go. "So, where are you going?" I asked. I tried to make the conversation going, I didn't want to make it an awkward silence bus trip. "The dance studio above the gym downtown." He said. I went into shock. "Meadows Studio?" I asked I heard that little excitement in my voice, I wonder if he noticed.
He nodded. "Me too!" I said "I go and practice there all the time." He chuckled. His eyes never left mine. "This is my first time going to Meadows, I usually go to Taylor's. But they are under construction." He said. I shook my head in understanding's. "Well, Meadows is a nice studio to work in." I said. I noticed it was our stop. The bus stopped at the corner, making us walk a whole block.
We made small talk as we walked there. Meadows was on the second floor, the first floor was a gym/physical therapy room. They never made too loud of a noise to break my concentration. When we got to the doors, I showed him the stairs to take. Then I pointed out the dressing rooms and restrooms. He went to the one dressing room. I walked onto the wooden dance floor. Mirrors surrounded me. I placed my bag in the corner, and got my hip hop shoes on.
