The game, not surprisingly was won. It was a total and easy victory for us. Not much effort from any player on our team. Except for one.

Elijah Hunt.

Of course he was the one who had to stay focused, if not the game would've been lost.

I turned to Mads. "Why does Elijah care so much about the game, it's just a game?" I asked, truly curious.

"Well he could technically be a doctor and go into med school after this. He's certainly smart enough to. But he instead wants to go into the NFL. Always has." She shrugged, and started to talk more, but her attention was dragged onto the field.

Elijah had taken off his helmet and now all the cheerleaders had flocked to him, and were hanging all over him. He had on an easy grin. One that made me sick to my stomach. I had seen that smile before.

This boy though he owned the world, no doubt about it now. It made me want to punch him in the face for some reason. So I looked back down at me phone.

"Why in the hell would I want to watch him parade around, with all the fame and glory of the entire school at his feet?" I thought, the urge to dump hot coffee on him now filled me for some reason.

However Mads, had a different idea for me, and she nudged me firmly enough that I would look up. Once I did she pointed to the field.

Turning to watch as Elijah walked to the fence of the stand and jumping over them with ease. Everybody was froze. What was he doing? Did he want to get in trouble?

But the same stupid, king of everything smile was still on his face.

Elijah took a mic from one if the announcers and tapped it took make sure it worked, before speaking into it.

"Hello students to the students of this school. On behalf of myself, and the rest of the football team. I would like to cordially invite you to a party at my place tonight. To both celebrate the start of a new school year, and the begging of yet another undefeated season of football," he said loudly and clearly. The entirety of the stands going crazy at his words.

He paused for a moment, and in this time was when I saw it. Behind all of the victorious smiles and cheers was a very proud man. It shone in his eyes.

It was the pride one had after they do something for themselves. They were a golden color, that reminded me of the color amber, but they were pure as gold at the same time. And when he turned and met my gaze the entire world seemed to freeze.

My heart was racing, why hadn't he looked away yet. I wasn't at all interesting, why couldn't he look away. It was a simple feat that seemed impossible now.

And suddenly the entire school was looking at me, it was only natural for them to follow their leader's gaze. And even I could sense their confusion. Why was he looking at her? That plain old girl in the front row.

Mads looked just as shocked as I felt. She moved to stand in front of me, and to my shock I moved out of the way, and when he looked around her to see me I almost had a heart attack.

Swiftly he slipped into our row, and everyone parted like the damn Red Sea to let him through.

Those maybe twenty seconds it took for him to reach me, stretched out till they felt like years. And suddenly my life was small, I was small.

My five foot nothing height was blown away by him. Taking a peak at the Jumbotron out of the corner of my eye, and to my horror, I was on the camera with him.

What was happening? How was this possible? Why was I, the small girl from Boise, Idaho now the center of attention?

This had to be a dream. SO I pinched myself just to be sure, and when the sharp feeling of my nails driving into my leg was felt, I almost died of shock. It was real alright.

He looked at me and gave a small smile before speaking. "Hello dear, are you new this year? "He asked, his voice like honey.

It hit me at that moment. In hearing that voice, that he was trying to seduce me .Well there was no way in hell that was happening. So I started to back away, from his intense golden gaze.

"Yes I am, I'm a freshman and you're a senior. Have fun at your party," I said staring to back away faster now. The entire crowd looked shocked, and I could feel their sympathy. But I wasn't sure who it was for anymore, me or him.

A sweet laugh stopped me in my tracks. Damn that boy and his perfectness. However it was successful in making me stop.

"You didn't let me finish," he started, his voice much softer than I thought capable.

"Everyone who has a ticket form this game is invited, which means you are to. No need to run shy," he chuckled.

For thirty seconds I just stood there and looked at him. What else was I supposed to do? Fall into his arms and say yes, maybe start crying for good effects. I don't think so. And for a few good seconds I actually did think about turning him down. He was far above me here. It would only be trouble to hang around him. But then I really thought about, and knew what to say.

I was aware of everyone around me as I spoke my choice. "Sure, I'll go. Just don't get me into any trouble," I said, feeling the heat pulsing strongly from my cheeks.

Quickly I slipped down and out of view of everyone, I hurried to my car. Earning strange looks from some people on my way out. Which made me wonder, how would they know about it?

Then it hit me. That was being recorded on live TV. Everyone had seen my think about turning down the best man on campus.

With my heart still racing I stepped into my car, and started thinking. I had a lot of getting ready to do before this party thing. I didn't want to make a complete fool of myself.

Plus I had just the dress and hairstyle in mind for this event.

How was I going to do this?

What would happen when I got there?

And why out of all the girls in the entire stadium had he chosen me.

A sharp knock on my window drew me out of my thoughts. When I looked up I saw Mads, with a huge smile on her face.

Slowly I rolled down the window, only to be blasted by her words.

"Oh my God Elise, you just got personally invited to one of Elijah Hunt's house parties. Oh my God, do you know how many girls would just die to be in that position. Just in case you don't a lot," she said quickly, with barely any breath at all.

I shrugged. "I don't even know how I feel about all of this. I don't like him. He's a stuck up rich boy, who has likely been spoon fed his entire life. Unlike me, who actually had to work her ass off to get into this school. Let alone a full ride." I said venting to my new found friend.

Mads looked me up and down slowly. "You may be the only person, in the entire school, who wouldn't give an arm or a leg to be invited personally to Elijah's parties. " She said, still looking at me with this shocked gaze.

"Well I'm sorry that I'm special. Why the hell does he even like me? I'm just some little plain jane from the middle of nowhere," I sighed.

She laughed and shook her head slowly. "Then ask him? He chose you not me," Mads said. "Also do you mind giving me a ride? I can help you get ready, cause I'm going as well."

"Yeah, sure. Let's go get ready to impress the King of Everything,"
