Freedom walks in and sits at the back table of the mess hall with a tray of pancakes, sausage, and a few grits.
The mess hall is a giant wooden building with a back room the chefs cook in. They lay out the food on a long table against the wall, kinda like a buffet. You grab what you want, and you can get as much as you please! There are tall windows on the sides, and a set of large double heading into and out of the mess hall.
