After.
I dreamt that I saw you today, within the crowds of faces. Disappointment was the only feeling that washed over me as all I wanted was to feel your embrace. Feel your hands on my body and your lips on my neck. Yet it was just another face in a crowd, you are still gone. I am still here.Before.
Walking the halls of my new High School I couldn't help but feel like an outsider. Not that I have spoken much since moving here, the longest conversation I've had in the last three days was with my English teacher, I was asking her to repeat the homework for the fourth time so I didn't have to spend all of lunch by myself. It was working until some kid from my english class came in and asked her to check over some exam papers. "Mrs Smith, i really don't understand why i have to repeat this assesment again", The tall boy barged through the door and slumped in a seat beside me and Mrs Smith in a humph, he chucked his bag on the floor and pulled out his papers, they had red writing all over the page with a big 43% circled at the top. "Luke don't you know to knock on a door when you see two people having a conversation?", Mrs Smith pulled away from my side and handed me a book which was sitting on her desk, "Cami take this and read from pages 35-50 hopefully this gives you some more clarification". Grabbing the book i chuck it in my bag and write on my hand the page numbers i need to go over, i take my time leaving the room in hope that the bell rings signalling for lunch to be over. I assumed that the dragging of my feet would make me move slower but to my dismay it sent me crashing to the floor i cursed and looked up to a hand in my face and a wide grin on Luke's."Thanks" i say as he pulls me up from my heap on the floor, the force he used to pull me up was so strong that i tripped on my feet and feel back into him knocking my forehead on his chin. "Shit, i wasn't expecting that", Luke said as he rubbed his jaw. Blushing in embarrassment, all i can hear is Mrs Smith laughing behind us. "I am so sorry, somehow i always find a way of making a fool of myself", i grab my bag off the floor and fix my skirt up which was all twisted from my fall and start to run out the class room. All i could hear when i was walking down the hallway was Luke, "see you next lunch break clumsy Cami!".
